Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a portable information terminal equipment which is reducible in the thickness of its cabinet and uses plural kinds of PCMCIA card of different thicknesses. CONSTITUTION: A cover part 17 for mounting plural kinds of PCMCIA cards of different thicknesses is provided in the cabinet 11 containing a wiring board 14, etc. Plural recessed parts which have a height difference are formed on the flank of the cover part 17, and the cabinet 11 is provided with a bearing which engages the recessed parts selectively and a spring 21 which energizes the bearing against the recessed parts. Therefore, an increase in capacity when a thick card 7 such as a PCMCIA card type 3 is used, is suppressed to be the irreducible minimum by moving up and down the cover part 17 according to the thickness of the card and the cabinet 11 can be made thiner.
