[Background Art] As artificial marble used in bathtubs, wash bowls, counters, etc., an acrylic resin-based molding material for artificial marble containing 40 to 80% by weight of fine powder silica having a particle size of 4 to 40 µ is molded by a casting method. The products obtained by these methods have been widely used. The acrylic resin-based artificial marble containing this fine powder silica has more hot water resistance and abrasion resistance than the polyester resin-based artificial marble, and the surface has smooth and high gloss like a mirror surface, and can express a sharp pattern. And so on.
However, on the other hand, there are drawbacks that even small scratches tend to be conspicuous if they occur on the surface, and that polishing reduces the gloss and color.

Due to this drawback, in the case of acrylic resin-based artificial marble containing finely powdered silica, even when the repairing agent is filled into the damaged portion such as cracks or chips that have occurred on the surface, the surface of the repairing agent should be polished to damage the damaged portion. The repair agent cannot be abraded because there is a risk that the periphery of the abradant will be abraded at the same time and the gloss will be reduced. Therefore, the surface of the repair agent cannot be ground to make the surface of the artificial marble and the surface of the repair agent flush with each other, and the surface of the repair agent cannot be polished to give a luster, so There is a problem that it is difficult to match the luster of the artificial marble around it and it is very difficult to repair the damaged part without making the repaired part conspicuous.

In an artificial marble 1 formed by molding an acrylic resin-based molding material for artificial marble containing 40 to 8% by weight of fine powder silica having a particle diameter of 4 to 40 μm by a casting method, the surface of the artificial marble 1 is shown in FIG. In repairing the damaged portion 2 such as a chip or a deep scratch as shown in (b), first, the inner surface of the damaged portion 2 is ground with a high-speed sanding machine to remove the damaged portion 2 as shown in FIGS. 2 (a) and 2 (b). To make the end (A portion) of the damaged portion 2 stand up at a right angle, and wipe the damaged portion 2 with a waste cloth containing a solvent such as ethyl alcohol, acetone, or thinner to remove oil and dust. . At this time, when scraping the damaged portion 2 with a sander, it is necessary to prevent the area of the damaged portion 2 from being excessively widened, and since the surface gloss of the artificial marble 1 may disappear, when wiping the damaged portion 2 with a waste cloth. It is necessary to take care not to wipe the area other than the damaged area 2. Next, in order to prevent the repair agent 3 from adhering to a portion other than the damaged portion 2, a masking adhesive tape 4 having heat resistance and chemical resistance, for example, an aluminum adhesive tape is surrounded by the repair agent 3 as shown in FIG. Affixed to the surface of the artificial marble 1 in the surroundings. It is preferable to attach the masking adhesive tape 4 so that the exposed area of the surface other than the damaged portion 2 becomes as small as possible.

Repair agent 3 is methyl methacrylate syrup (hereinafter MMA
The one prepared by using syrup as an abbreviation is used.
MMA syrup is a liquid oligomer prepared by pre-polymerizing MMA monomer to about 5 to 20% of the complete polymerization. It has the same acrylic resin system as artificial marble 1 and has good adhesiveness and is colorless and transparent. Therefore, coloring is easy and it is easy to match the same color as the artificial marble 1. And this
A colorant and a curing agent (polymerization initiator) are mixed with MMA syrup and used as a repair agent 3. MM as a colorant
It is possible to use a mixture of A with a pigment and a small amount of finely divided silica, for example, a product manufactured by ICI. An organic oxide or the like can be used as the curing agent. For example, as shown in FIG. 4 (a), the repair agent 3 is mixed with 1 g of the MMA syrup in 2 g of the spoon and 1 g of the coloring agent.
It can be carried out by taking 1 to 2 cups in the table 6 and 2 cups of the curing agent with a microspatel (not shown) and thoroughly mixing them on the watch glass 7. After mixing in this way, the repair agent 3 is kneaded with a spatula 9 while heating with a dryer 8 as shown in FIG. 4 (b),
The MMA monomer in the repair agent 3 is evaporated to increase the viscosity of the repair agent 3 until the chewing gum-like viscosity becomes chewed.
The viscosity is increased so that the filling operation becomes easy, and it is most preferable that this viscosity be extended to a height of 2 to 3 cm and cut when the glass rod is pulled up. Then, the repair agent 3 is applied to the damaged portion 2 of the artificial marble 1 with a spatula to fill it.
At this time, it is necessary to carefully fill and apply with a spatula so that the bubbles in the repairing agent 3 are pushed out, and as shown in FIG. 5, the repairing agent 3 is raised about 0.5 mm from the surface of the artificial marble 1. Fill and apply.

After filling the damaged portion 2 with the repair agent 3 as described above,
The adhesive tape 10 is attached to the surface of the artificial marble 1 from above the repair agent 3, and the repair agent 3 is pressed with the adhesive tape 10. As the adhesive tape 10, an aluminum adhesive tape having heat resistance and chemical resistance can be used, and as shown in FIG. 6, a non-adhesive tape 11 cut into the same shape and size as the surface shape of the repair agent 3. It is preferable that the adhesive tape of the adhesive tape 10 is attached to the back surface of the adhesive tape 10 so that the adhesive of the adhesive tape 10 does not adhere to the repair agent 3. By pressing the repair agent 3 with the adhesive tape 10 in this manner, the repair agent 3 for the artificial marble 1
The adhesion of the repair agent 3 is improved, and the surface curing failure of the repair agent 3 due to air contact is prevented. Then, while holding the repair agent 3 with the adhesive tape 10, the repair agent 3 is heated from above the adhesive tape 10 with a dryer or an infrared lamp 12 as shown in FIG. 7 to heat and cure the repair agent 3. For example, when using a 250W infrared lamp 12, the repair surface temperature is 80 ~ 90 ℃ measured by the thermometer 13 when irradiated with about 10 mm away from the repair surface,
It can be cured by keeping this temperature while checking it with the thermometer 13 and heating it for about 30 minutes. If heated too much above 100 ° C, the artificial marble 1 around the repaired part may lose its luster.

After the repair agent 3 is cured in this way, an adhesive tape
Peel off 10 and check the cured state of repair agent 3. If you press it with your nails and it doesn't get scratched, curing is complete. When the curing is insufficient, it may be heated again for about 10 minutes.
After confirming the hardening of the repair agent 3, all the masking adhesive tapes 4 are also peeled off from the artificial marble 1 and the dirt on the repair agent 3 and its surroundings is wiped off with a waste cloth soaked with ethyl alcohol. After that, a masking tape 14 is attached to the surface of the artificial marble 1 around the repairing agent 3 to fix the repairing agent 3
The area around is masked again as shown in FIG. As the masking tape 14, an adhesive tape having excellent wear resistance and water resistance (for example, Dumplon Ace tape or other polypropylene wrapping tape) can be used, and a space between the peripheral edge of the repair agent 3 and the masking tape 14 can be used. 1m as shown in Fig. 8
It is preferable to form a small gap B of about m. After that, use water-resistant paper 15 or a polishing compound to polish the surface layer of the repairing agent 3 as shown in FIG. 9,
The surface of the repairing agent 3 and the surface of the artificial marble 1 are made flush with each other. Polishing can be performed by rubbing with water-resistant paper 15 while supplying water 16 to the repair agent 3. The water-resistant paper 15 is gradually changed from rough # 300 to fine one, and the surface of the repair agent 3 and artificial It is recommended to finish with # 1500 when the surface of the marble 1 is almost flush. In this way, when the polishing is performed, since the periphery of the repair agent 3 is covered with the masking tape 14, it is possible to prevent the surface of the artificial marble 1 from being polished, and the gloss of the artificial marble 1 around the repaired portion can be prevented. There is no risk of being lost or discolored. Further, the surface of the repair agent 3 can be made glossy by polishing, and can be made to have the same gloss as the surface of the artificial marble 1. When air bubbles are generated in the repaired portion by the repair agent 3, the repair may be performed by filling the holes of the air bubbles in the procedure shown in FIGS. 5 to 9.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, in the present invention, when repairing a damaged portion of an acrylic resin artificial marble containing fine powder silica,
A repair agent consisting mainly of colored methyl methacrylate syrup is filled so as to fill it up, and an adhesive tape is pasted onto the surface of artificial marble from above this agent and the repair agent is heated and cured while pressing the repair agent with the adhesive tape. Therefore, the repair agent of the same type as the resin of the artificial marble has excellent adhesion to the artificial marble, and further the adhesion is further increased by the pressure of the adhesive tape, so that the durable repair can be performed. In addition, after applying a masking tape to the surface of the artificial marble around the repair agent, the surface layer of the repair agent was polished to make the surface of the repair agent and the surface of the artificial marble flush with each other. It is possible to polish only the repairing agent while preventing the surface of the artificial marble from being polished by the masking tape. By polishing the repairing agent, the surface of the repairing agent and the artificial science And a surface on the healing agent it is possible to match the flush can be given a gloss like artificial marble surface, is capable of repairing damaged portions without repair location stands out.
