Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.両端が漏斗形をした通路を含み、この通路にその両端から光ファイバを挿入 して、これらのファイバがこの通路内で互いに当接するようになった光ファイバ 接続装置において、この接続装置(1)が一つ以上のV形断面の溝が食刻されて いる平坦面を有する第1シリコン部(7)と;透明ガラス材料て作られ且つこの 第1部(7)の溝付き面にと重ねられフ三角形断面のチヤンネルを形成すること を意図した平坦な側面を有する第2部(9)とを含み、該チャンネルの内接円の 直径がこの光ファイバ(5,6)の外径よりわずかだけ大きいことを特徴とする 装置。 2.請求項1に記載する装置において、前記接続装置(1)が光伝導コアを有す る光ファイバを相互に接続する場合において、該内接円の径が該ファイバ(5, 6)の外径に対して前記ファイバコアの直径のせいぜい25%だけ、好ましくは せいぜい10%だけ大きいことを特徴とする装置。 3.請求項1または請求項2に記載する装置において、該V形溝(8)の各各が 、この接続装置(1)の両端(3,4)で深く且つ広くなった部分を有して、該 各装置端(3,4)で漏斗形部分(12)を形成することを特徴とする装置。 4.請求項1,2または3に記載する装置において、この接続装置(1)の二つ の部分(7、8)が陽極結合によって互いに接合されていることを特徴とする装 置。 5.請求項1,2,3,または4に記載する装置において、前記第1シリコン部 (7)が結晶方向[100]を有する結晶シリコンから成ること;およびこの第 2部(9)が珪酸ガラス、好ましくは硼珪酸ガラスから成ることを特徴とする装 置。 6.請求項1,2,3,4または5に記載する装置において、この接続装置(1 )が、前記三角形断面チャンネルの開いている両端(3,4)に、前記ファイバ (5.6)を挿入するときに当接させるようにしたアダプタ(16)を含み、お よび該アダプタ(16)が該接続装置の三角形断面チャンネルのそれぞれに対す るV形の溝(17)を含み、該V形溝(17)は、この接続装置(1)から遠ざ かる方向に拡がり且つ深くなっていることを特徴とする装置。 7.請求項6に記載する装置において、該アダプタ(16)の溝(17)がそれ ぞれのV形溝(17)の底を通って延びる対称面内で湾曲していることを特徴と する装置。 8.請求項1から請求項7のいずれか一つに記載する装置において、この接続装 置が結合ユニットを形成し、その片側(23)から一つ以上のファイバ(22) を該接続装置に挿入して該接続装置に対して固定し、この接続装置の他の側(2 4)はファイバ(25)を受けるようになっている装置。 9.請求項1から請求項8のいずれか一つに記載する装置において、該第1シリ コン部が厚さ525ミクロンのシリコン板であること:および該第2部が厚さ約 0.5ミリのガラス板であることを特徴とする装置。 10.請求項1から請求項9のいずれか一つに記載する装置において、これらの 溝(8)の相互間隔が250ミクロンであることを特徴とする装置。
