Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the water resistance of the speaker by leading out signal wires used to drive a voice coil along the surface of a diaphragm and connecting the wires to an electric connection member forming an input terminal of the speaker unit provided onto a hard paper sheet on an edge of the diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:Torus upper and lower hard paper sheets 12, 14 are provided on an outer circumferential ridge of an edge 16 of the speaker unit 1. The paper sheets 11 are made of compressed paper materials mainly and used to prevent the edge 16 or the like from being deformed when the speaker unit 1 is placed on a work base or at its transportation. The signal wire 15a to a voice coil 6 is led out along the surface of the diaphragm 9 and connected to a projection 18 at the inside of the torus conductive plate made of a metal with high conductivity such as a copper placed between the upper and lower hard paper sheets 12, 14 with solder. A flexible lead wire 15b is connected to a projection at the outside of the conductive plate 13 and connected to a connector 17 of the acoustic equipment.

Has a first terminal connectable to a connector 43, a second terminal connectable to a connector 51 connected to a signal cord 50 from an external audio device, and a third terminal connected to a lead wire 48 of a treble speaker 46. A connector connected to the terminals, a circuit for dividing a signal band, a so-called network circuit, is built in between the first, second and third terminals, and a high frequency sound signal is supplied to the high frequency speaker 46. The speaker unit 1 is supplied with a signal of middle low-pitched sound or full-range sound.
It should be noted that the connector 43 and the connector 51 are connectable, and when the high-pitched speaker 46 is removed, the connector 51 is directly connected to the connector 43 so that a signal from an external audio device can be supplied to the speaker unit 1. Therefore, it is not necessary to replace the connector when attaching and detaching the high-pitched speaker 46.
