Referring to FIG. 4, an outline will be given of the paper edge automatic tape attaching work of the take-up roll in the web take-up device (hereinafter referred to as winder) generally used in the paper factory.
First, the take-up roll 01 formed on the take-up drums 15 and 16 of the winder has a paper cutting knife 18 protruding from the inside of the dump bar 17 at the time of kicking by the dump bar 17, so that the paper 08 is aligned linearly in the roll axial direction. After being cut, it rolls out from the winding drum 16 and then rolls in to a roll rotating device 12 which is usually composed of two rolls 19 and 20. On the roll rotation device 12, a paper cutting point 02 (a winding end described in the present invention, which is hereinafter referred to as a paper end because it is described based on a paper web), that is, a post-process The paper edge 02 is attached to the take-up roll 01 so as not to hinder the handling of the take-up roll 01.
The sticking of the paper edge 02 is usually performed using an adhesive tape, but an outline of the automatic tape sticking device, which is put into practical use based on the automated method filed in Japanese Patent Application No. 58-231874, The cross beam 09 over the entire width of the take-up roll 01, which was waiting at the predetermined position 21 before the take-up roll 01 moved into the roll rotation device 12.
After moving into the take-up roll 01, it descends and presses the take-up roll 01 with the tape retainer 22 at the position 14 corresponding to 12 o'clock of the timepiece as shown (solid line). Since the adhesive tape 23 is previously inserted between the tape retainer 22 and the take-up roll 01 so that the adhesive surface is on the take-up roll 01 side, the tape retainer 22 is wound with a certain pressure. By pushing the tape application unit 11 supported by the cross beam 09 over the entire width of the winding roll 01 while pressing it against 01, the adhesive tape can be attached to the entire width of the winding roll 01, that is, the entire width of the paper. .

When applying the tape as described above, first, take-up roll
A step of rotating the take-up roll 01 in the direction of the arrow 13 is necessary in order to bring the paper end 02 to be taped to the position 14 of 01, and the rotation amount of the take-up roll 01 is the position of the paper end 02 position. Therefore, recognizing the position of the paper edge 02 without visual inspection is one of the deciding factors for automation.

Method, that is, when cutting the paper on the take-up roll 01 in advance, a mark 25 is attached to the vicinity of the paper edge 02 with a spray gun 24 for painting, etc. Means for detecting with the detector 26 such as a photoelectric switch,
Further, in order to achieve a cheaper and cleaner device than this, as shown in FIG. 5, while rotating the take-up roll 01 in the direction of the arrow 13, the air jet ejected from the air injector 27.
Apply 28 to the surface of take-up roll 01 to
However, when the paper 08 passes under the air ejector 27, the paper 08 is floated up and a commercially available photoelectric sensor 04 provided near the air ejector 27 is used.
For example, a means for detecting the lifted paper edge 02 is known.

(2) In the means shown in FIG. 5, when the basis weight of the paper or the rigidity of the paper changes, the floating amount of the paper edge becomes insufficient, or the air flow rate or the air pressure is used to solve this insufficiency. There is a problem that the paper 08 flutters below the sensor 04 in the vertical direction, that is, in the direction of the arrow 29, resulting in erroneous detection. Along with this, there is a limit to full automation of sticking.

The present invention solves the above problems by using a suction device provided above the web take-up roll and capable of previously sucking the outermost paper of the web take-up roll, and the suction device is the most effective part of the web take-up roll. Rotating means for rotating the web winding roll around its roll axis in a state where the outer layer paper is sucked, and the winding end of the outermost layer of the web winding roll rotated by the rotating means has a predetermined distance near the suction device. And a tape adhering unit for advancing the winding end of the paper detected by the detecting device in the width direction of the paper end and linearly adhering the tape over the entire width of the paper. The present invention aims to provide a roll winding end tape applying device characterized by the following.

Since the present invention is constructed as described above, it has the following effects. That is, when the web take-up roll is rotated while the suction device sucks the paper, the winding end (paper end) always reaches a fixed position.
If you monitor it with a detection means, you can always catch the paper edge that has arrived at a fixed position with the accuracy of fitting it in the center of the narrow tape width, so if you set a tape sticking unit that sticks adhesive tape at that position, you can set the paper edge. The adhesive tape can be attached automatically.

Further, since the tape application unit travels in the width direction of the paper edge and applies the tape in a linear shape over the entire width of the paper, the tape is applied steplessly in sequence, and there is no opportunity for bubbles to intervene, and Since the sticking unevenness does not occur, the sticking strength or discontinuity does not occur at the edge of the paper, and since it is linear, local wrinkles, distortion, and peeling are unlikely to occur on the tape and paper.

また、応力ムラが生じないので経時的な剥がれ、シワ,
歪(円形凹凸)等が生じない。
Also, since there is no stress unevenness, peeling over time, wrinkles,
No distortion (circular unevenness) etc. will occur.

After the take-up roll 01 moves into the roll rotating device 12, the cross beam 09 descends, and as shown in FIG. 1, the suction device 03, the paper edge detection sensor 04, and the pressing plate 07 also descend and the take-up roll 01 moves. The relationship is directly above. Next take-up roll 01
While the roll is rotated in the direction of arrow 13 by the roll rotating device 12, the outermost paper 08 of the winding roll 01 is sucked by the suction device 03. At this time, until the paper edge 02 passes under the pressing plate 07, the outermost paper 08 of the take-up roll 01 at the detection position of the paper edge detection sensor 04 is detected as shown in FIG. It is outside the detection range 06 of the sensor 04. Therefore, at this time, the paper edge detection sensor 04 never outputs a detection signal, so that erroneous detection can be prevented. Furthermore, the winding roll 01 is an arrow
When the paper edge 02 continues to rotate in 13 directions and passes under the pressing plate 07, the paper edge 02 is sucked up by the suction device 03 and rises as shown in FIG. Paper 08 enters the detection range 06 of the paper edge detection sensor 04. From this point, the paper edge detection sensor 04 outputs a detection signal, and the paper edge 02 is indicated by an arrow.
It can be seen that the output of the detection signal is stopped when the paper advances in the direction of 13 and passes the detection position 05 of the paper edge detection sensor 04, whereby the paper edge 02 has passed the detection position 05. afterwards,
The take-up roll 01 is moved by the arrow 13 at a known distance from the detection position 05 to the position 14 of the take-up roll 01.
The paper edge 02 is stopped at the position 14 of the take-up roll 01 by rotating the paper edge 02 in the direction of by any known control means.

As shown in FIG. 3, by attaching a net 31 or the like to the suction port 30 of the suction device 03, the paper 08 is sucked into the suction port 30,
It is possible to prevent that the desired flat state of the paper 08 as shown in FIG. 2 cannot be maintained, that is, the paper 08 becomes concave as shown in FIG. However, if it is determined that it is not necessary to provide the net 31 based on the relationship between the suction force of the suction device 03 and the rigidity of the paper 08 that is the suction target, the net 31 may not be provided. or,
The holding plate 07 for holding the paper edge 02 does not necessarily have to be used.
