Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce cost. by extruding a polyolefin rubber base together with a tape and valcanizing them so as to cover the exposed part visible from the outside with the polyethylene tape on which the film is provided with a silk- print. CONSTITUTION:The polyolefin rubber base 11 is extruded together with a tape 14 and valcanized to form an external wall joint gasket 10 so as to cover the exposed part 12 visible from the outside with a polyethylene tape having molecular weight 500,000-1,000,000 such as extremely high molecular weight polyethylene, water-crosslinked polyethylene, etc., on which the film is provided with a silk-print.

【従来の技術】図1乃至図4を参考にし、外壁目地ガス
ケットを例にとって説明する。従来、建物の外側に張っ
た外壁の接続部に形成される目地部に、建物内部への浸
水を防止するために図1乃至図4に示すように、外壁目
地ガスケット10を嵌込んでいる。そのうち、図2を除
く3種は、基部11にポリオレフィン系ゴムを使い、外
側から見える露出部分12を耐光性に優れたハイパロン
や塩素化ポリエチレン等の表層13で覆うよう、上記被
成形材料を共に押出しており、また、鮮明な色彩を出す
と言うカラー化の要求に対しては、ゴムのみでは対応が
困難であるため、その上を塗装(厚さ30〜40ミクロ
ン)している。なお、図2に示すものは基部11・露出
部分12共に耐光性に優れたハイパロンや塩素化ポリエ
チレン等を使用している。
