右揺動アームの上端を外方待機位置から互いに接近する
内方側へと揺動させる即ち包装部の所定位置に引き出さ
れたフィルムの左右両側縁側へと揺動させることによっ
て、該左右両側縁を左右揺動アーム上端の固定クランプ
片に対する下動クランプ片のシリンダーによる閉じ動作
により掴持し、この状態において再び左右揺動アームの
上端を互いに離間する外方へと揺動させることによりフ
ィルムを幅方向に伸張(プリストレッチ)させる様にし
ていた。従って、従来装置の左右クランプ機構は部品点
数が多く構造が複雑であることから、その組付けが面倒
でその配設スペースを余分にとらなければならず、装置
の大型化を招く。又、左右一対の揺動アームをその枢着
部を支点に互いに接近する内方側へ或いは離間する外方
側へと揺動させた際、上端の固定,可動クランプ片特に
上側に位置する固定クランプ片が左右折込み板と干渉し
合わない様に両者間に干渉防止用の間隔(高さ)を設け
た状態で左右折込み板を包装部に配設しなければなら
ず、そのために包装部に引き出されたフィルムと左右折
込み板とは前記間隔にて離れた状態となることから離れ
た分、被包装物のフィルムに向けた上昇突き上げ移動量
を大きくする必要があると共、被包装物の頂部がフィル
ムに接触してからの突き上げ移動量が大きくなることか
ら、左右折込み板の折込み動作開始と同時位にフィルム
左右両側縁の掴持状態を解放させなければならず、その
結果フィルムの伸張が早く緩んでしまって表面にシワの
無い美しい包装を行なうことが難しい。特に近年燃えな
いゴミによる環境問題が騒がれている中でトレイを使用
しないで直接フィルムにより被包装物を包装することが
要求、所謂ノートレイ方式により複数個(ばら物)の被
包装物を包装する包装形態にあっては特に難しくなる。

【発明の効果】本発明の包装装置は叙上の如く構成して
なるから、下記の作用効果を秦する。 .包装部の所定位置に引き出されたフィルムの左右両

とにより左右折込み板と協動で掴持し得る様に、そして

の可動クランプ板も左右折込み板と共に離間する方向へ
同調して移動して、フィルムの幅方向への所定量伸張
(プリストレッチ)を行ない得る様に構成してなるか
ら、フィルムの左右両側縁を掴持し、そして幅方向に所
定量伸長せしめる働きをなす左右クランプ機構はその部
品点数が従来装置に比べて削減されて構造が大幅に簡素
化され且つ簡単となり、ひいては装置自体を簡素化せし
めることができることから、その製作コストを削減する
ことができると共に装置の小型化を図り得え、同時に包
装部の高さが低くなることから作業性が良くなる。 .左右折込み板が互いに離間又は接近する方向に移動
自在に構成配されている高さレベルにてフィルムを包装
部に引き出すことができることから、包装部に引き出さ
れたフィルムと左右折込み板との間隔を無くすことがで
きる。従って、被包装物の頂部がフィルムに接触してか
らの突き上げ移動量を従来装置に比べて小さく、即ち左
右クランプ機構によるフィルム左右両側縁の掴持状態を
左右折込み板がフィルム左右両側縁を被包装物の底部に
折り込むその直前まで保つことができる。このためフィ
ルムの伸張状態を緩めることなく、表面にシワを生じさ
せることのない適度な張り,強さの伸張量で被包装物を
美しく良好な包装形態で包装することが出来、同時に適
度な張り,強さの伸張量で包装することができることか
ら、複数個(ばら物)の被包装物をトレイを使用せずに
包装する所謂ノートレイ方式の包装形態にも有効にな
る。又、包装した際のフィルムの余り部分が少なくな
り、フィルムの無駄がなくなる。

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 包装部の所定位置に引き出されたフィル
ムの左右両側縁を左右クランプ機構で掴持し、この左右
クランプ機構を互いに離間する方向に移動させてフィル
ムを伸張させると共に、伸張させた前記フィルムの下か
ら該フィルムに向けて被包装物を上昇突き上げて同被包
装物の上面をフィルムで覆い、その後フィルムの左右両
側縁を左右折込み板により被包装物の底部側に折り込む
ストレッチ包装装置に於いて、前記左右折込み板を互い
に離間或いは接近する方向に移動自在に構成し、この左
右折込み板の下面に対して接離動自在で、且つ該折込み
板の離間或いは接近する方向に移動する動きに対して同
調自在とする左右の可動クランプ板を左右折込み板の下
方又はその近傍に配設したことを特徴とするストレッチ
包装装置。
