Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a golf club head which decreases an amount of spin, increases flying distance and is easy to fly up by not arranging metal material in a crown part on an upper surface of the head. CONSTITUTION:In this golf club head, no metal material is placed on a crown part 1 unlike a conventional golf club. In detail, the crown part 1 is cut off and a hole 2 is formed there. The hole 2 may be left as it is or closed with a plate 4 of a transparent and light-weight resin or the like. By this device, the possible weight of the metal material not arranged can be substantially distributed to a sole. so that the gravity can be lowered. As a result, an initial speed of a ball is increased and an amount of spin can be decreased, whereby a flying distance can be increased.
