A plug body is provided in which a packing is inserted, the U-shaped packing is pushed outward by pressing the push plate against the receiving plate, and the bulging part of the packing thus pushed out is pressed and sealed to the inner surface of the pipe body. It has been proposed and has been put into practical use to some extent.

In other words, it may not be possible to obtain an effective seal due to unevenness inside the pipe, and water and mud often seep in through the pipe end seal.Especially in gas pipes, it is not possible to wash out the inside of the pipe after piping is completed. The problem is big.

That is, by pressing the push plate toward the receiving plate with the nut, the packing can be pushed out and effectively sealed. However, even in this case, complete sealing may not always be achieved due to partial deformation or attachments on the inner surface of the tube, and even if the tube is sealed in this way, leakage at the sealing position cannot be detected, so there are certain defects. There is no choice but to leave a mark of perfection.

That is, in the present invention as well, a packing 5 having a U-shaped cross section is interposed between the receiving plate 1 and the pushing plate 2, and by tightening and pressing the pushing plate 2 with the nut 3, the packing 5 is pressed and expanded to form a tube body. The pressure sealing on the inner surface of 4 is the same as the previous proposal by the present inventors, etc., but in the present invention, the packing 5 as described above is adopted in combination, and the Between the packings 5, 5 interposed in a composite manner between the plate 1 and the push plate 2, a tapered surface is formed on these packings 5, 5 so as to obtain both the functions of the receiving plate 1 and the push plate 2 described above. The intervening plates 6 formed on the front and back sides are positioned, and the packing 5, 5, the receiving plate 1 and the pushing plate 2 are positioned.
A space 25 is formed between them. A thread 17 is formed on the distal end side of the shaft member 7 whose base end is fixed to the receiving plate 1, and the nut 3 is screwed thereto. A sealing material 13 such as an O-ring is provided between the receiver tube 8 and the shaft member 7 to ensure airtightness between the shaft member 7 and the receiver tube 8. .

機能するように成つている。 The shaft member 7 is provided with a shaft hole 12 which opens into the space 25 in the packings 5, 5 interposed in a composite manner as described above, and is used to pressurize air or other gas.
However, what is screwed onto the tip of the shaft member 7 is a coupler 10, and the coupler 10 is separately shown in FIG. A measuring section 21 such as this or a tube or other conduit having such a measuring device 21 is connected to the measuring device 21, and a valve 22 is provided between the measuring device 21 and a connection port to a high-pressure air source. A cap 20 as shown in FIG. 1 is configured to cover the coupler 10 under the condition that such a measuring device 21 is not connected to the coupler 10. The above-mentioned engaging tube 16 is fixed to the holder, and the engaging tube 16 has a square inner hole 1 so as to engage with the nut 3.
6a as shown in FIG. The cap 20 is designed to tighten or loosen the packings 5, 5 by pressing, that is, the cap 20 functions as a rotation adjusting operation section for the nut 3.

に通ずるように成つている。 Note that the receiving plate 1, pushing plate 2, and intervening plate 6 have tapers for effectively pushing out the U-shaped packings 5, 5 in cross section toward the inner surface of the tube body 4 by rotation of the nut 3 as described above. As shown in the figure, the parts are arranged in circles. Furthermore, by forming two protrusions 5a, 5a on the outer surfaces of the packings 5, 5, a water-stopping effect is achieved by stress concentration on these protrusions 5a, 5a, and a stable sealing relationship is achieved. This is the reason why it is formed. Furthermore, as for the above-mentioned intervening plate 6, one prepared in the same shape as the receiving plate 1 and the pushing plate 2 was placed back to back as shown in FIG. It is sufficient to leave a gap 27 communicating between

る。 In this state, remove the holder 9, the cap 20, and the engagement tube 16, and connect the pipe line 23 of the measuring device 21 to the thus exposed coupler 10 as shown in FIG. When high-pressure air is introduced through the pipe line 23, the high-pressure air is forced into the packings 5, 5 through the shaft hole 12, and the pressure conditions are displayed on the meter 24 of the measuring device. If this is done, when the valve 22 is closed, the space 2 inside each packing 5, 5
5, the pressure conditions are maintained, but if any of the seals in each packing are not perfect, the reading on the meter 24 will gradually decrease due to leakage. Therefore, the inner surface and other parts of the tube body 4 are wiped clean, and the above-described settings and tests are repeated. When the seal is confirmed to be complete, the measuring device 21 and the pipe line 23 are removed, the cap 20 having the engaging cylinder 16 and the holder 9 are covered over the coupler 10 and the nut 3, and the pipe end is backfilled. That is, the cap 20 and the holder 9 are the coupler 10 in this case.
It acts as a protective member for the coupler 10 and nut 3 parts, so that these coupler 10 and nut 3 parts will not be damaged even when backfilled into the soil layer, and will appropriately prevent corrosion etc. The mechanism of the present invention can be removed from the end of the pipe body 2, and further piping can be connected to the pipe end.

い考案である。"Effect of the invention" According to the invention as explained above, it is possible to seal the end of a pipe or the like and to test the integrity of the seal at the sealing position (specifically, the joint position of the packings 5, 5). Therefore, it is possible to always seal the pipe ends in a perfect state, and it is possible to achieve accurate sealing of pipe ends such as gas pipes and water pipes with relatively simple operations. This is a practical idea that is highly effective when applied to pipes that do not have an inner lining and cannot be washed away after piping is completed.
