As one form of heart rate monitor, for example,
As shown in No. 28404, there are devices in which an ear-type pulse sensor that captures pulse signals from the ear and a pulse meter that displays the pulse rate are connected by a cord. However, with this method of capturing pulse signals from the ear, most sensors are optical, and optical sensors have the problem of sunlight entering the sensor and interfering with pulse counting when used outdoors.

As a solution to this problem, there is a so-called heart rate monitor that detects changes in electrical potential from the heart, that is, electrocardiographic pulses, and counts the electrocardiographic pulses. In a heart rate monitor, electrodes that detect changes in the heart's potential need to come into contact with the chest or near the chest of the human body. However, in the heart rate sensor disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 60-92735, when the electrode is placed in the concave part of the chest, the electrode lifts up from the user's body and does not come into contact with the user. However, there were problems in that cardiac potential pulses could not be detected, or that the noise was greater than when the electrodes were in contact with the body.

This idea was made in view of the above circumstances, and it ensures that the electrodes for collecting the electrocardiogram signal of the user come into contact with the user's body, thereby detecting changes in the electrocardiogram, that is, electrocardiogram pulses. An object of the present invention is to provide a heart rate sensor capable of detecting the heart rate accurately and with less noise.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the electrode 3 includes an arcuate contact portion 8 that contacts the human body to be measured, and a support portion 9 that supports the arcuate protrusion of the contact portion 8. . Then, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, when a force in the direction of arrow B is applied to the contact part 8, the longitudinal end of the contact part 8 moves in the direction of arrow C, causing the electrode 3 to move in the direction of arrow C. The projecting distance from the holding belt 5 is reduced.

Below, how to use the heart rate sensor 1 will be explained. First, the user connects the holding belt 5 and the connecting belt 6 at only one end, wraps the holding belt 5 and the connecting belt 6 in this state around the chest, and hooks the other ends to form a loop. Next, the user positions the electrode 3 in the chest cavity (not shown). Here heart rate sensor 1
In this case, the electrode 3 is in contact with the concave part of the chest, and the electrodes 2 and 4 are in contact with the convex part of the chest. Note that when the concavity of the chest is small, the electrode 3 receives a force in the direction of arrow B from the concavity at the abutment part 8, and the longitudinal end moves in the direction of arrow C, causing the electrode 3 to move in the direction of arrow C. Reduce the protrusion distance. Therefore, even if the person has a small chest cavity, the electrode 3
I don't feel like I'm under a lot of pressure. Further, the user hooks the transmitter 14 to the terminal hook 13 provided on the outer surface of the holding belt 5.

Note that the terminal hook 13 is electrically connected to the electrode hook 7 and can transmit electrical signals from the electrodes 2, 3, and 4 to the transmitter 14. Also, transmitting section 1
Reference numeral 4 sends the electrocardiogram signals received by the electrodes 2, 3, and 4, so-called electrocardiogram pulses, to the counting side.

The heart rate sensor 1 is configured as described above. Therefore, even if there is a recess in the user's chest, the electrode 3 will not come into contact with the recess and be lifted up, so problems such as inability to collect cardiac potential signals or excessive noise will not occur.
In addition, since the electrode 3 is constructed so that its protrusion distance can be reduced by applying a pressing force, the electrode 3 can reliably come into contact with the user's chest even if the depth of the recess in the user's chest varies. It is not affected by the degree of the dent. Furthermore, since the heart rate sensor 1 is configured using three electrodes 2, 3, and 4, it is possible to pick up cardiac potential pulses from a wide range, and it is possible to reduce errors associated with detected values.

(g) Effects of the device This device uses conductive rubber to detect the electrode that collects the cardiac potential signal, and also protrudes toward the recess so that the electrode makes sure to contact the recess in the user's chest. Due to its arcuate shape, it is a heart rate sensor that can reliably collect electrocardiogram signals and perform reliable measurements, as well as with less noise.
