Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a small fluorescent lamp fitting device by dispensing with the bases of a fluorescent lamp and shortening the total length thereof. CONSTITUTION:Two lead wires 13 extracted from both end portions of a straight type bulb 12 and external lead wires 14 are respectively connected mutually by crimp sleeves 15. One portion of the end face of a protective cap 16, which has a diameter close to the outer diameter of the bulb 12 and has a notch portion in a portion in a peripheral direction of an opening portion end face, is brought into contact with the end face of the bulb 12. The external lead wires 14 are extracted from the notch portion, and the end portion of the bulb 12, the protective cap 16, and one portion of the external lead wires 14 are covered by heat contracting tube 17, so that the bulb 12 and the protective cap 16 are unified firmly.
