Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow survey at night or in a dark place by providing a lighting apparatus on a survey instrument such as a level or a transit so that a point to be surveyed is visible in the dark. CONSTITUTION:A lighting apparatus 2 is attached to a survey instrument body 1 such as a level or a transit. Since the lighting apparatus 2 is not necessary when a point to be surveyed is bright, a structure which allows the removal of the apparatus 2 from the instrument body 1 is possible. By using this, survey is possible even at night or in a dark place only by setting the body 1 at a survey site with the apparatus 2 used.
