置に使われるカラーフイルタの製造方法に関する
ものである。

う方法が提案されている(特開昭57−16407号)。

させ(第7図)、3色めのカラーフイルタパター
ン10を形成した(第8図)。各カラーフイルタ
パターン4,7,10は互いに間隔をおいて接触
しないように形成される。これらパターンを形成
した上に表面を平坦化するため透明保護膜11を
被覆形成する(第1図)。透明保護膜11の材料
は透明で、かつカラーフイルタの染料に染まり難
いものであればよく、ポリアミド樹脂、ポリイミ
ド樹脂、アクリル樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、透明なフ
オトレジストなどを用いることができ、塗布、硬
化させる。
