First, since it is not necessary to provide a means for detecting the notch of the cylinder for each printing unit, the overall system configuration becomes simple.

Here, the present invention will be explained by taking an impression cylinder cleaning unit as an example, but the present invention can also be applied to a cleaning device for various cylinders such as an impression cylinder of a two-blanket cylinder rotary press or a blanket cylinder as long as the cylinder has a notch. It is clear that it can be applied.

Each cleaning unit 40 is connected by a connector 50 to a cleaning liquid tank 60 and an air supply source (not shown). This coupler 50 is connected to the arithmetic unit CPU via the input/output interface I10 of the controller 70.
and connected to memory. The controller 70 controls the rotation of any printing press, e.g. once per revolution, from a single timing sensor 90 which generates a timing pulse at a predetermined rotational position of the rotary shaft 31 of the impression cylinder 2 of the first color printing unit 30. Capture the timing signal that is output. Further, various angle data etc. input from the operation panel 80 using a keyboard, for example, can be taken in. The angle data, calculation results, etc. that are input in advance are stored in a memory within the controller 70 and are retained as long as there is no need to change them.

The angle data to be input includes the angle of the notch 4 of each impression cylinder 2, the relative rotation angle difference between the impression cylinders 2 of each printing unit 30, and the rotation axis 31 of the first color printing unit 30.
The relative rotation angle difference of the first color impression cylinder with respect to the timing pulse generation reference position, the angular position of each cleaning unit 40 with respect to each pressure 1] 12, etc. are input in advance as angle data. Since these angle data are fixed unless the printing unit 3o and cleaning unit 40 of the target printing press are changed, they are stored and saved in the memory within the controller 70.

Although not shown, the cleaning program is similar to the cleaning program for the first color printing unit 30. The cleaning program is a program that sets the number of times the cleaning unit 40 is brought into contact with the impression cylinder 2, the number of times the cleaning liquid is sprayed, the number of times the cleaning cloth 14 is fed, etc. in one cleaning cycle. It is desirable to set several types in advance so that the user can select according to the degree of the problem.

Since the position of the notch 4 is clearly understood within the computer and the position of the notch 4 is strictly controlled by the calculation device, when creating a cleaning program, the cleaning cloth 14 is finely fed at the beginning of cleaning, and the position of the notch 4 is precisely controlled by the calculation device. The cleaning cloth 14 is fed in a large distance, and the entire circumference of the impression cylinder 2 except the notch 4 is finished cleaned with the clean part of the cleaning cloth 14 that is fed in a large amount, and the cleaning is completed with one operation of the cleaning unit 40. However, by feeding the cleaning cloth 14 in the middle of the impression cylinder 2, it is also possible to eliminate the stain stripes that have conventionally occurred. Therefore, you can create cleaning programs freely.
The cleaning effect is increased and the cleaning cloth can be used efficiently.

Since the angular position is estimated and the operation command is output to each cleaning unit, firstly, there is no need to provide means for detecting the notch in the cylinder for each printing unit, and the overall system configuration becomes simple.

In the cleaning device, a notch angle of each cylinder, a relative rotation angle difference between each cylinder, a relative rotation angle difference of one of the cylinders with respect to an arbitrary rotation axis of the printing press, and each of the cleaning units for each cylinder. means for previously inputting the arrangement angular position of the cylinder as angular data; means for generating a timing pulse at a predetermined rotational position of the rotating shaft; and means for determining the angular position of the notch of each cylinder based on the angular data and the timing pulse A cylinder cleaning device for a printing press, comprising means for calculating an estimate and outputting an operation command to each of the cleaning units.
