【考案の詳細な説明】
(a) 産業上の利用分野
本考案は、エンジンの排気口に連通する開口部
を備えた本体ケースと、この本体ケースと係合し
て、大気と連通する排出口を備えた蓋ケースとよ
りなるマフラーケースの内部に、火の粉を防止す
るためのスパーク防止網を設けたマフラーに係る

備えた仕切板を排気口の方向と直交して設け、こ
の仕切板に重ねたスパーク防止網を、仕切板とと
もに蓋ケースと本体ケースとの間に挾持して設け
たものがあつた。この方式のものは、マフラーケ
ース内における排気ガスの流れが単純な方向に流
れるために、壁面における音の干渉が少なく、消
音効果が低い欠点があつた。また、第5図に示す
ごとく、マフラーケース内部を仕切る仕切板を排
気口と平行方向に設けて本体ケースと蓋ケースと
の間に挾持したものがあるが、スパーク防止網を
この仕切板と重ねて着脱自在に挾持することがで
きず、したがつて排気口を別体に形成して、排気
口との間にスパーク防止網を挾持していた。この
ため、スパーク防止網の面積を大きくすることが
できなくて、排気が抵抗を増すこと、および排気
の流れがまだ単純であるので消音効果が少なかつ
た。また従来は、排気ガスが本体ケース内で膨張
してのち、スパーク防止網を通過するよう設けら
れていたので、膨張時に温度が低下し、排気ガス
中の未燃焼の潤滑油の再燃焼が充分に行なうこと

連通路を設け、この筒体の外周に筒状のスパーク
防止網を係合して設けたもので、排気通路が迂回
して設けることができるので、排気が接触する内
壁の長さが長くなつて消音効果が増大するととも
に、スパーク防止網の面積が大きくなつて排気の
抵抗を減少することができるものである。しか
も、膨張室で温度の低下する前にスパーク防止網
を設けて未燃焼の潤滑油の再燃焼を完全に行なう

路中に生じたカーボンに着火した火の粉はスパー
ク防止網19によつて除去されて大気への放出は
阻止されるが、このスパーク防止網19は面積を
大きく形成できるので、排気抵抗は大きくならな
