Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a long serviceable cutter to cut tough fibers of empty palm nuts after their flesh is removed. CONSTITUTION:Empty palm nuts are fed into a pair of screws (12) biting one another in a housing to cut them by means of mutual biting of the screws. Then, cyclic blades (13, 14) in the form of spectacles planted on the inner wall of the housing cut them again as if emulating said performance of the screws (12), thus the apparatus is not dependent on the sharpness of the cutting edges and serviceability thereof is improved. Furthermore, empty palm nuts also can be cut under a high steam pressure while retaining the pressure at an inlet (11) and an outlet (15) of the housing. The so-cut empty palm nuts are compressed by a compressor (29) to recover the lost oil and scraps of the compression are used as fuel or fertilizer.
