Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform continuously uniform joining by a method wherein a continuously delivered flat film is bent into a cylindrical shape and the laminated tightly contacting part is irradiated with a laser beam and then, pressure is applied on the tightly contacting part just after irradiation to perform pressure welding. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin-made flat film 1 continuously delivered is bent into a cylindrical shape by means of a forming plate 2 and a bending tool 3. This bent cylindrical film is laminated on the central upper part of the forming plate 2 and the tightly contacting part is irradiated from the upper part with a laser beam by means of a laser beam irradiating apparatus 4 to weld the film of that part. Outer force is immediately applied on the welded tightly contacting part to perform welding. It is possible to perform uniform joining by performing pressure welding just after welding even when welding of the tightly contacting part is not uniform as it is done before welded part is solidified.

[Prior art and its problems] Conventionally, when back-sealing a synthetic resin film using a laser beam, a flat synthetic resin film is guided to a forming plate to form a cylinder, and the laser beam is applied to the close contact portions of the ends of the synthetic resin film. They were joined by welding and irradiation. however,
Due to deformation of the films, spaces are created between the stacked films, resulting in uneven welding and poor bonding at the joints. When used as bags, there are problems such as leakage of contents or damage to the joints. Ta. Also, since the laser beam is irradiated from one side, a temperature difference occurs between both films.
As a result, there is a problem in that the bonded portion is deformed due to differences in shrinkage of the film, resulting in poor appearance.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In the present invention, it has been discovered that the above-mentioned problems can be solved by applying external pressure to the contact area immediately after irradiation with a laser beam for pressure contact. Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an example of an apparatus used in the method of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a schematic partial vertical cross-sectional view of the apparatus shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 1, a synthetic resin flat film 1 that is continuously fed out is folded into a cylindrical shape by a forming plate 2 and a bending jig 3. The folded cylindrical films are overlapped at the upper center of the forming plate 2, and the laser beam irradiation device 4 irradiates the close contact portion with a laser beam from above to weld that portion of the film. A core 5 for receiving a laser beam is provided on the forming plate directly below the laser beam irradiation device 4.

[0004] In the present invention, it is necessary to apply an external force immediately to press the welded contact portion. In this way, by pressure-welding immediately after welding, even if the welding is uneven in the close contact area, uniform joining is possible because the welded part has not yet solidified. Although there are various methods for pressure-welding, a method of pressure-welding using a plurality of rotary bodies provided so as to sandwich the contact portion is preferable because continuous bonding can be ensured. In the apparatus shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, this rotating body is sandwiched and pressed between a rotating belt 7 provided on a forming plate 2 inside the cylindrical film and a pressure roller 6 provided outside.

[0005] The rotating belt 7 can be smoothly rotated by a guide portion 8 provided with small diameter bearings at both ends. Further, the pressure roller 6 has a mechanism that can adjust the pressure applied to the contact portion, and it is preferable to provide two or more rollers in order to make the pressure contact more stable.

A plurality of forming plate receiving rollers 9 are provided at the bottom of the forming plate 2 to prevent the forming plate from bending due to pressure and to reduce the frictional resistance between the film and the forming plate 2.

As described above, according to the present invention, the welding defects caused by laser beam irradiation can be uniformly welded by applying pressure immediately after irradiation, so the strength of the joint is good, and This has the advantage that stable and continuous bonding is possible. Further, if a rotating body is used as the pressure welding means, more stable and high-speed joining is possible, and furthermore, there is an advantage that adjustment according to the thickness of the film, etc. can be made easier.
