DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a rubber composition for seals, and more particularly to a rubber composition for seals with good self-lubricating properties. Conventionally, a method of mixing oil into a rubber material has been proposed for the purpose of lowering the friction coefficient of a rubber seal member. However, among synthetic rubbers, NBR has poor compatibility with oil, so it has been difficult to incorporate a large amount of oil into NBR. Therefore, the present invention impregnates oil into EP rubber, which has good compatibility with oil, and mixes it into NBR, thereby making it possible to contain a large amount of oil in NBR and suppressing oil bleed. It is a rubber composition that can retain oil in NBR for a long time. As the oil, paraffinic, naphthenic, and aromatic oils may be used alone or in combination.
The EP rubber powder used is a vulcanized product of EP rubber that is powdered using an appropriate method. In the present invention, oil-impregnated rubber powder mixed with oil is added to the EP rubber vulcanizate powder at a rate of 10% by weight per 100 parts by weight of NBR.
This is a rubber composition for seals containing at least part by weight. Example 1 20 parts by weight of ASTM No. 3 OIL and 5 parts by weight of EP rubber vulcanizate powder were mixed, and then this oil-impregnated rubber powder was mixed with 100 parts by weight of NBR. This rubber composition was then vulcanized and molded at 180°C for 4 minutes. Comparative Example 1 20 parts by weight of ASTM No. 3 OIL was mixed with 100 parts by weight of NBR. This rubber composition was then vulcanized and molded at 180°C for 4 minutes. Example 2 20 parts by weight of process oil and 5 parts by weight of EP rubber vulcanizate powder were mixed, and then this oil-impregnated rubber powder was mixed with 100 parts by weight of NBR. This rubber composition was then vulcanized and molded at 180°C for 4 minutes. Comparative Example 2 20 parts by weight of process oil was mixed into 100 parts by weight of NBR. This rubber composition was then vulcanized and molded at 180°C for 4 minutes. The results of measuring the amount of oil bleed of the vulcanized molded products obtained in each of the above Examples and Comparative Examples are shown in the table. As is clear from the table, the amount of bleed is smaller in the case where EP rubber powder is mixed in compared to the case where it is not mixed in, indicating that the oil holding capacity is better. Oil-impregnated rubber powder is usually one in which 100 parts by weight or more of oil is mixed with 100 parts by weight of EP rubber powder. Note that the NBR used in the present invention is pre-blended with various fillers so that it is suitable as a sealing material. 【table】
