Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce noise and make complicated adjustment unnecessary by providing an auxiliary cutter shaped to protrude in a direction which crosses the running direction of a printing sheet between a pre-stage roller and a post- stage roller so that the cutter comes in contact with at least, part of the printing sheet. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary cutter 4 is provided in the center between two paired rollers 1, 2, and an auxiliary cutter is activated in accordance with a cutting signal from a controller of a printing device 10. The auxiliary cutter 4 is activated at the same time as it comes in contact with the perforation 5 of a printing sheet 3 or before it does to advance in 'a' direction. In this case, a roller 2 is set to a higher speed V3 than a speed V2. However, in a state where the auxiliary cutter 4 is not in contact with the printing sheet 3, the roller speed V3 is set so that the printing sheet 3 is not cut at the speed V3 of the roller 1 and the speed V3 of the roller 2. If the perforation 5 is partly cut at its part which comes in contact with the auxiliary cutter 4, a stress works on the edge of the cut part, and thus the printing sheet 3 is positively cut off at the perforation 5, unless the ratio of V3>V1 is significantly increased.

FIG. 3 shows a conventional automatic cutter mechanism for this type of printing paper. Continuous printing paper 3 placed on a paper tray 6 provided in the printer device 10 passes through a photosensitive drum 8 and a fixing device 9, and is accumulated on a stacker 7. Fuser 9 and stacker 7
Two pairs of rollers, a front-stage roller 1 and a rear-stage roller 2, are installed between the two, and the perforation position of the section of the printing paper 3 to be cut is detected, and the rotation speed of the roller 2 is changed to the rotation speed of the roller 1 based on the timing signal. The size of the printing paper 3 was increased instantaneously, and the printing paper 3 was cut along the perforation.

In the above-mentioned conventional auto cutter device, it is necessary to instantaneously increase the rotation speed of roller 2 compared to roller 1, but the entire cross section of the perforation cut at this time has a size of - internal stress occurs. Therefore, when cutting, it is necessary to instantaneously increase the rotational speed of roller 2 compared to roller 1, which requires a large amount of power from the drive motor.

The present invention provides an automatic cutter mechanism for printing paper that cuts continuous printing paper having perforations at regular intervals from the perforations by a rotation difference between two pairs of rollers. It has an auxiliary cutter that is pressed against at least a portion of the printing paper in a direction intersecting the running direction.

In the figure, a printing paper 3 printed by a printer device 10 passes through a roller 1 at the front stage and a roller 2 at the rear stage and is stored in a stacker 7. An auxiliary cutter 4 is provided between the two pairs of rollers 1.2, and is operated in response to a cut signal (not shown) from a controller of the printer device 10.

FIG. 2(a) shows the speed V caused by the driving means (not shown) of the printer device 10. The printing paper 3 is traveling and guided to the roller 2 by the roller 1 in the previous stage, and the speed (V, ) is equal to or slightly smaller than the speed V of the roller 1, and the speed v1 is equal to the speed v2 of the roller 2. It is slightly smaller and is set under the following conditions.

(2) V2 <V3 Note that the roller speed V3 is determined so that the printing paper 3 will not be cut at the speed V□ of the roller 1 and the speed V3 of the roller 2 when the auxiliary cutter 4 is not in contact with the printing paper 3. Next, FIG. 2(C) shows a state in which the printing paper 3 is cut from the perforation 5. In the figure, when the perforation 5 is partially cut at the part in contact with the auxiliary cutter 4, stress concentrates on the cut edge, and the printing paper 3 can be perforated without making the ratio of V3>Vl very large. It can be reliably separated from 5.

As explained above, the automatic cutter mechanism for printing paper of the present invention includes an auxiliary cutter having a shape protruding in a direction intersecting the running direction of the printing paper between the front roller and the rear roller. By cutting a part of the perforation with this auxiliary cutter, stress concentration is generated at the cut edge, reducing the speed difference between the speed of the front roller and the speed of the rear roller. It has the effect of cutting. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a compact autocutter device that can be built into a printer device that reduces noise and does not require complicated adjustments.
