Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently make the subject patchwork by cutting rolled raw cloths having different colors, respectively, into round slices, sewing the side edge portions of the sliced cloths in a state having the different colors at the mutually adjacent positions, cutting the sewed cloth in the transverse direction, again sewing the side edge portions of the cut cloths, cutting the sewed cloth in the longitudinal direction and finally sewing the cut cloths. CONSTITUTION:A raw cloth (a) rolled on a paper pipe (c) is cut into round slices in the direction of the arrow (b). The side edge portions of the prepared tapes 1a and 1b having different colors are sewed into a belt-like cloth 2. The cloth 2 is cut in a width W at a position P to give cloth pieces 3a and 2b, which are again sewed into a cloth 4. The cloth 4 is cut in the longitudinal direction in a desired width to form patch pieces. The side edge portions of the patch pieces are sewed in a mutually different color-arranged state to provide the objective patchwork.

(c) Problems to be solved by the invention However, according to the conventional manufacturing method, cloth is cut into pieces for patchwork, prepared, and then manually cut into pieces.
Sewing each piece of cloth one by one takes time and effort, is expensive, and is not suitable for mass production. Due to a slight difference in the size of the fabric or a difference in the seam allowance between the stitched parts of the adjacent edges, errors may occur in the series of stitching lines between the stitched and connected pieces of fabric, resulting in uneven arrangement of the pieces of fabric. However, there is a drawback that the overall finish is not beautiful.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention prepares a plurality of cloth tapes of different colors having the same width, and stitches the side edges of these cloth tapes to each other so that the width of the cloth tape is increased. The cloth tapes are sewn in different colors sequentially in different directions to make a strip of cloth in which the cloth tapes are arranged in different colors, and the cloth is cut to the same width in a direction perpendicular to the suture line of the cloth tapes. , The cut cloth pieces are sewn together so that the seam lines of the cloth tapes are all parallel to each other, and the cloth tapes are alternately arranged in different colors to form one strip-like cloth. , cut the cloth to the same width in the longitudinal direction to make a plurality of cloth tapes, and make a cloth tape in which rectangular patch pieces of different colors are alternately arranged in a row, and these cloth tapes are cut in the same width in the longitudinal direction. Different patch pieces were placed adjacent to each other in the width direction so as to be combined vertically and horizontally, and the side edges of these cloth tapes were sewn together to create a patchwork having a lattice pattern.

According to this invention, a patchwork is made from a single piece of cloth made by combining cloth tapes of different colors in different steps in the width direction of the tapes and sewing them together, so that each suture line of the cloth tapes forms a lattice pattern. This serves as a reference line for the combination of cloth pieces to be formed, and eliminates the uneven arrangement of cloth pieces that occurs in conventional manufacturing methods. By sewing the pieces adjacent to each other, a checkered patchwork is automatically created in which patch pieces of different colors are combined vertically and horizontally.

The diagram shown in Figure 1 is the original fabric (a) used as a material for patchwork. The original fabric (a) used is one rolled into a paper tube (C). First, the original fabric (a) is, for example, arrowed (
The dotted line points shown in b) are sequentially cut using a slitter, and the cloth tape is processed into circular slices (1) shown in Figure 1 (■). Although a plurality of raw fabrics (a) of different colors are prepared, for convenience of explanation below, a case will be described in which two raw fabrics of black and red having the same width and length are used.

The red cloth tape (1a) and black cloth tape (lb) processed from the red and black raw materials by the above method are shown in Figure 1 (
As shown in 0, the tapes are arranged in different colors adjacent to each other in the width direction and sewn together with the side edges of the cloth tape. The red cloth tape (1a) and the black cloth tape (1b) are sewn together, and then, in the example shown in the figure, the red cloth tape (1a) is added in parallel to the black cloth tape (1b). It is sewn using a sewing machine, for example, an industrial sewing machine. Although the width of the cloth tape (1a) or (1b) is arbitrary, the desired width is determined in consideration of the size of the final patchwork formed with the cloth tape. The length of the cloth tape is the original fabric (
Only the length of a) is used. Cloth tape (la), (lb
) is processed into a band-shaped cloth (2) by the above-mentioned sewing operation. (20) to (24) show the suture lines between the cloth tapes (la) and (lb).

As shown in FIG.
For example, it is cut from the point indicated by the arrow P and processed into a plurality of pieces of cloth (3) each having a (B) width. (6) The width is determined relatively considering the length of the two-color tape (5), which will be described later. When shortening the length of the two-color tape, (b) make the width wider, When increasing the length of the colored tape, (b) the width is set narrower.

As shown in FIG. 100, the cloth tape (5) is further arranged adjacent to the cloth tape (5) in the width direction and stitched so as to be continuous with each other to be processed and finished into a single cloth (6). To sew the cloth tapes (5) together, as shown in Figure 1 (f), for example, use a patch piece (X) with a red tip and a black cloth tape (y) with a rear end. In (5), when sewing another cloth tape in the width direction and connecting it in a row, the cloth tape of the above-mentioned type should be sewn upside down with the front batch piece (illustration and rear batch piece (y)). Then, in the same way, use cloth tape (5
) are sutured in sequence. In this way, cloth tape (5)
As shown in Figure 1 (1), a checkered patchwork (6) is created in which red batch pieces (X) and black batch pieces (y) are combined vertically and horizontally. The patchwork (6) is automatically completed. The patchwork (6) is cut according to the purpose and used for processing various products having a lattice pattern.

(e) Effects According to the patchwork sewing method of the present invention, it is possible to save the time and effort of manually sewing other pieces of cloth around each piece of cloth one by one, making the patchwork sewing work more efficient in a shorter time. It is possible to produce a large number of patchworks in a few steps, is suitable for mass production, and also ensures that the batch pieces are neatly arranged with respect to each other, and there is no possibility of misaligned stitching or irregularities of the batch pieces. This has the effect of allowing patchwork to be produced with a neat finish.
