Claims

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] (1) A transfer belt that is charged by a transfer charger and electrostatically attracts a transfer paper, and this transfer belt is wound to eliminate the charge on the belt and remove the charge by the rigidity of the transfer paper. In an image forming apparatus that includes a transfer unit having a ground roller for separating from the transfer belt and forms an image on transfer paper by bringing the transfer unit into contact with a photoreceptor drum, the image is transferred approximately at the center of the ground roller. An image forming apparatus characterized in that a medium-high protrusion is formed to promote separation of paper. (2) The diameter of the protrusion of the grounding roller is 1.5 times or less the diameter of the main part of the grounding roller, and the width dimension is 0.2 times or less the width of the transfer belt. An image forming apparatus according to claim (1). (3) The image forming apparatus according to claim (1) or claim (2), wherein the tip of the protrusion has a predetermined curvature for surface contact with the transfer paper. (4) The image forming apparatus according to any one of claims (1) to (3), wherein a plurality of the protrusions are arranged in the paper width direction of the transfer paper. (5) At least one back-up roller is provided between the transfer charger and the grounding roller to apply uniform tension to the transfer belt in the width direction.
