Description
【考案の詳細な説明】
〔産業上の利用分野〕
本考案は空気浄化機能を有するプランターに係
り、更に詳しくは微生物の作用により室内の空気
を浄化することのできる、観葉植物などの植物を
植えて室内の装飾に好適なバイオプランターに関
する。
〔従来の技術〕
近年、オフイスや家庭においてタバコ臭、調理
臭、暖房機器排ガス臭、細菌による腐敗臭などの
臭気を除くために活性炭などの吸着剤を用いた
り、或いは電気集塵機を用いた室内用空気浄化器
が市販されている。
〔考案が解決しようとする問題点〕
しかしながら、従来の室内用空気浄化器は活性
炭などの吸着剤を用いる方式では定期的に吸着剤
を交換する必要があるためその管理が繁雑である
と共にランニングコストがかかり、また電気集塵
機などは設備のイニシアルコストが高いなどの問
題があつた。
従つて、本考案は、簡便で安価な室内用空気浄
化器を提供することを目的とする。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
本考案に従えば、前記問題点は、下部に空気吸
入手段を設け、かつ空気中の汚染又は不快臭成分
を分解させることのできる独立栄養細菌を含む好
気性微生物を付着させた植物支持材を充填して成
る、空気を浄化する機能を有する鑑賞用植物用バ
イオプランターによつて解決することができる。
〔実施態様の説明〕
以下、添付図面を参照して本考案のバイオプラ
ンターの好ましい態様について説明する。
本考案に係るバイオプランターは、第1図に示
すように、内側に空気吸込フアン2を取付けた空
気取入口1を下側部に備えた一般的なプランター
6内の上部に植物支持材4(例えば軽石、赤玉な
ど)を小さな多数の開孔を有する適当な支持材3
上に充填して成る。この植物支持材4中には以下
に説明するような適当な微生物を含ませ、鑑賞用
植物5を植えることができる。
このような構成のバイオプランターを適当な受
皿7の上に置いてフアン2を回転して汚れた室内
空気を空気取入口1より吸入すると、空気はプラ
ンター内部を通して植物支持材4の充填床に達す
る。この充填床には、予じめ、目的に応じて、空
気中の汚染又は不快臭成分であるアンモニア、硫
化水素、メルカプタン、アルデヒド、トリメチル
アミンなどの化合物を捕食して消化分解すること
ができる微生物、例えばNitroso−monas属、
Nitrobacter属、Thiothrix属、Beggiatoa属、
Thiobacillus属、Pseudomonas属などに属する
独立栄養細菌などを含む好気性細菌又は微生物を
付着、馴養させておき、ここを汚染又は不快臭成
分を含んだ空気を通すと空気中の汚染又は不快臭
成分がこれらの細菌又は微生物によつて微生物的
に除去され、清浄な空気としてプランター6の上
部より排出される。なお、前記好気性細菌相は鑑
賞用植物用として撒水や湿気を含んだ空気によつ
て維持される。この際、必要に応じて、タイマー
をセツトしたドリプターなどで間けつ的に水供給
することもできる。
以上説明したように、本考案に従つたバイオプ
ランターは、独立栄養細菌などを含む好気性細菌
を植物支持体に付着、馴養させておくことによつ
て、鑑賞用植物を室内で楽しめると同時に室内の
空気を清浄化することができるのでインテリア機
器として好適に使用することができる。
実施例
広さ約10畳の応接室(容積約40cm3)に、上径約
300mm、下径約200mm、高さ約400mmの第1図に示
したような形状のプランターに平均サイズ10mmの
軽石を充填高約200mmで充填し、これに微生物と
してNitrosomonas属、Nitrobacter属、
tiobacillus属及びPseudomonas属などの細菌を
付着させ、植物としてポトスを植えた。
このようにして微生物を付着馴養させたバイオ
プランターにフアンを回転して約0.25cm3/mmの空
気を吸込ませて連続運転したところ、バイオプラ
ンター、出口空気中の臭気濃度及び含有成分組成
は以下の通り変化した。
