排出して保持する排紙機構において、 画像が形成された用紙を画像形成装置本体から
排出する排紙ローラと、 排紙ローラによつて排出される用紙を受け止め
て斜め下方へ押し戻す複数の上り斜面が、用紙の
排出方向に沿つて形成されていると共に、各斜面
の下端部に、排出される用紙の後端部が当接する
ことにより用紙を保持する位置を定める用紙位置
決め部が形成されている排紙トレーと、 前記排紙トレーの各斜面に用紙を排出できるよ
うに、斜面の数と同数の段階に前記排紙ローラの
回転速度を切換えることが可能な排紙ローラの駆
動手段と、 グルーピングモードと、ソーテイングモードと
に応じて用紙を各斜面に分配できるように前記排
紙ローラの駆動手段を制御する制御手段と を具備することを特徴とする画像形成装置の排紙
