A bag of the same strength and size is manually filled with earth and sand (mainly sand), and the bag is closed by tightly tying the inlet.

It is made by stacking sandbags filled with sand in parallel.

These relatively lightweight sandbags are transported to disaster areas, filled with earth and sand, and then made to absorb water and expand into resin to form sandbags.

2 is the opening of the bag 1, 3 is the side of the bag 1, and 4 is the bottom of the bag 1, which is partially filled with a super absorbent resin from the opening 2 and then temporarily closed. The dimensions of the sandbag bag 1 are usually about 25 to 30 cm at the bottom and 60 to 70 cm at the sides, and the material of the bag is permeable to water and has the strength to withstand loads from above and from the surroundings when stacked as sandbags. However, use a super absorbent resin that absorbs water and does not leak even if it gels. Therefore, any woven fabric made of natural fibers or artificial fibers that satisfies such conditions in terms of yarn and fabric structure can be used.
It can also be used by stacking thermoplastic resin sheets such as polyethylene, polypropylene, etc. and heat sealing the sides 3 and bottom 4 to form a bag. The bag is provided with holes so small that they will not leak even if the superabsorbent resin filled in the bag absorbs water and turns into a gel. The most suitable material in terms of strength is a woven fabric made of slit yarn made by slitting a stretched thermoplastic resin film or sheet such as polypropylene, which allows water to pass through well and prevents leakage of gelled superabsorbent resin. .

となる。 The amount of superabsorbent resin to be filled is determined so that the water-absorbed resin fills the empty space of the earth and sand that is put into the sandbag. For example, if the internal volume of a sandbag is V, the volume of earth and sand is V0, and the water absorption capacity of resin is A times,
The amount x of the resin satisfies x≧V−V0/A.

The amount of resin x needs to be small, and if the amount of earth and sand V0 is made smaller, the amount of resin x will increase. When using sandbags containing this resin alone, the amount of sand should be increased to resist hydraulic water flow, and as described later, when used in combination with conventional sandbags, the amount of resin should be increased. Depending on the situation, the amount of sediment may be zero.

As shown in FIG. 2, the connecting portion 5 is made long so that when stacking other sandbags, another sandbag can be placed on top of the connecting portion 5. Manufactured sandbags are in sheet form when the superabsorbent resin does not absorb water, so they can be stored by stacking them as they are, or if they are in band form, they can be stored rolled up as shown in Figure 3. .

It is a polymer that can be retained, and there are synthetic and semi-synthetic products, but any of them can be used. but,
In order to be used in sandbags, the properties of superabsorbent resin such as water absorption amount, water absorption rate, gel strength, and durability must meet the usage conditions of sandbags. High speed and high gel strength are particularly required.

Semi-synthetic products include starch-acrylic acid graft polymers.

Therefore, when the vinyl alcohol absorbs moisture and expands in volume, the vinyl alcohol is stretched and aligned, forming a block polymer structure and creating a three-dimensional structure that resembles a crosslinking material. Super absorbent resin based on acid-vinyl alcohol copolymer is suitable for sandbags.

Since the amount of earth and sand to be filled is smaller than that of conventional sandbags, the amount of manpower, time, and amount of earth and sand required to form the sandbags are significantly smaller than in the past.

It is formed. Note that once the water is retained in the gelled superabsorbent resin, it becomes irreversible, so even if a load from a sandbag or the like placed above it is applied to the sandbag, the gel will not return to water and be released.

As for the method of stacking the sandbags, only the sandbags of the present invention may be arranged in one row or in multiple rows, but a conventional sandbag filled with earth and sand is placed on the connection part 5 of the arranged sandbags of the present invention, and the sandbags of the present invention and conventional sandbags are stacked. Sandbags may be combined and stacked in multiple layers.

Fig. 5 shows a multi-layered stack of sandbags that is a combination of A and B above. As described above, when the sandbag A of the present invention is stacked in combination with the conventional sandbag B, the weight of the entire stack of stacked sandbags increases, which can sufficiently resist water pressure from the lateral direction and rapidly In this way, such a stack of sandbags is formed, and the function of the sandbag of the present invention is effectively exhibited.

It is constructed by connecting in a band shape. When using these sandbags, the band-shaped sandbags are brought to the site and filled with a predetermined amount of earth and sand, and then water is poured over them to make the resin inside the sandbags absorb and gel, and the pillow-shaped sandbags are then lined up. A conventional sandbag filled with earth and sand is placed on the connection part, and in this way, the band-shaped sandbag and the conventional sandbag filled with earth and sand are stacked and used in parallel. As a result, the following excellent effects were achieved.
