Abstract

PURPOSE:To completely eliminate a resonance sound that a cleaning blade generates by putting a sound absorber in the cylinder body of the photosensitive drum for electrophotography. CONSTITUTION:A blade 2 made of urethane rubber is used for rubbing off for residual toner on the surface of the photosensitive drum 1 of an Al blank pipe which has a phi60 tube diameter and 250 mm length. The tube ends are covered with flanges 3 and 4. Styrene foam pieces 5 are charged as the sound absorber in the drum. By this constitution, the resonance sound generated by the rubbing of the blade is completely eliminated.
