Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent movement of paper on a platen by providing paper holding devices which come in contact with and causes friction to paper on the platen and a device to cause friction to the paper on the platen. CONSTITUTION:A back tension sheet 8 is attached to a paper guide 5 as a friction device, and the paper 2 is allowed to come in contact with a stay side 6 under pressure. In addition, pressure is applied to a platen 3 from a frame by a tension spring 9, an arm 11 and a friction piece 10, and the friction piece 10 is mounted to a shaft 12. The arm 11 is installed in a freely rotatable manner so that the friction piece 10 is kept away from the platen 3. Furthermore, nor mally two friction pieces are provided and are held on the shaft 12 so that they change their position. These friction pieces 10 are also positioned near a sending hole provided near both ends of paper 2. The friction pieces 10 are allowed to come in contact with the paper 2 on the platen under pressure and thus the paper 2 is held stationary without being influenced by the impact or vibration of a printing device.

In the conventional paper bottom feed mechanism described above, even though the paper guide below the platen has means for applying friction to the paper, when the paper is set on the tractor means above the platen, the paper does not touch the printing section. Since the structure is such that the paper is not held on the platen by the platen portion, there is a drawback that the paper moves on the platen due to impact or vibration caused by the printing means, resulting in poor printing position accuracy.

As shown in FIG. 1, in this embodiment, a paper 2 in a printer device 1 is passed through a paper passage hole 4 located below a platen 3, and a paper guide 5 and a normal device frame are similarly located below the platen 3. The paper passes through a paper path formed by a stay 6 that also serves as a structure, passes in front of the platen 3, and is hung on a tractor 7 located above the platen 3. As a result, the paper 2 is placed in the set state. A pack tension sheet 8, which acts as a friction means against the movement of the paper 2, is attached to the paper guide 5, and presses the paper 2 against the stay 6 side. Further, pressure is applied to the platen 3 from a frame (not shown) by a tension spring 9, an arm 11, and a friction piece 10, and the friction piece 10, which does not rotate, is applied via the arm 11 to the longitudinal direction of the platen 3. It is attached to a shaft 12 located parallel to the direction. Since the arm 11 is rotatably attached to move the friction piece 10 away from the platen 3, the paper 2 can be easily set. Further, there are usually two friction pieces 10, and they are held so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction on the shaft 12 so that the position can be changed according to the width of the paper 2 on the platen 3. They are located near the feed holes at both ends of the paper 2 where no printing will be performed.

On the other hand, printing means (not shown) acts on the paper 2 from the direction of arrow A toward the platen 3, and usually involves impact and vibration during printing. If the piece 10 does not exist, or if the friction piece 10 is separated from the platen 3, the paper 2 will move relative to the platen 3 due to impact and vibration from the printing means, and the printing position accuracy with respect to the paper 2 will decrease. I end up. Therefore, in this embodiment, the friction piece 10 is brought into pressure contact with the paper 2 on the platen 3 to prevent the paper 2 from moving due to impact or vibration caused by the printing means.

Further, the pressing friction of the pack tension sheet 8 against the paper 2 also suppresses movement of the paper 2 due to impact or vibration of the printing means. That is, although the frictional force in the feeding direction of the paper 2 is the frictional force due to the friction piece 10 and the frictional force due to the pack tension sheet 8, it is desirable that the latter frictional force is larger than the former frictional force. However, these frictional forces need to be set so as not to deteriorate the paper feeding performance of the tractor 7.

Further, the shaft 12 holding the friction piece 10 has a structure that allows it to be easily attached and detached from the arm 11, and if a feed other than bottom feed, for example, friction feed, is desired, a normal rotating roller can be used. What is necessary is to configure the held paper bail shaft so that it can be attached to the arm 11.

As explained above, the paper bottom feed mechanism of the present invention includes a plurality of paper pressing means that apply friction to the paper on the platen by pressing against the paper without following the paper feeding movement;
By having a means for applying friction to the paper formed on the paper guide below the platen, it is effective to prevent movement of the paper on the platen due to shocks and vibrations from the printing means and to improve printing position accuracy with respect to the paper.
