Methods of inhaling gases such as oxygen to patients include
There are two main types: closed type and open type. The closed type is a method used for anesthesia, etc., in which a tube is inserted into the trachea, and oxygenated breathing gas is forcibly delivered from the outside to the lungs under positive pressure.

A breathing circuit generally called a nasal cannula is used, which is bifurcated and one tube end 12 is connected to both sides of a nasal cannula part 13 having a pair of nostril insertion tubes 14 inserted into the left and right nostrils. .

ようなものはなかつた。 The former method of forcing breathing by inserting a tube into the trachea (hereinafter referred to as tracheal intubation) is used for severely or acutely ill patients, whereas the latter method involves inhaling oxygen through the nose. is used when the patient is able to breathe spontaneously, and there is a distinction between the two even though they are the same method of assisting breathing. Therefore, each breathing circuit has its own unique characteristics, and both circuits can be easily connected.
Or, there was no such thing as an adapter that could be reconnected.

However, even when a patient is intubated, for example, when the patient is out of the acute phase and is gradually weaned from the ventilator, they may need to use an oxygen supply source such as an oxygen concentrator when they are not using the ventilator. If the tracheal tube is connected in an open manner, oxygen can be inhaled through spontaneous breathing.

However, negative pressure artificial respiration can be performed by synchronizing breathing.

It is something. Connection port 5 has an inner diameter of 15 to 32 mm.
Although the inner diameter is not particularly limited, for example, when connecting directly to the tracheal tube, it is preferable to have an inner diameter of about 15 mm.
Also, this connection port 5 is an abbreviation according to ISO/TC121.
It is even more preferable to use the standard shape of 15F (inner diameter 15.47±0.04mm, taper 1/(40±2)). Also,
Similarly, when connecting via various breathing circuit adapters or spirometers, the abbreviation 22F (inner diameter
22.37±0.04mm, taper 1/(40±1)), 30F
(inner diameter 30.9±0.05mm, taper 1/(20±1)),

Materials are preferred. Of course, aluminum alloy, stainless steel,
Rubber etc. can also be used. The nostril insertion tube of the nasal cannula is often made of a relatively soft material, and the auxiliary device on the tracheal tube side is made of a hard or semi-hard material, so the nasal cannula side adapter 1 is made of a semi-hard or hard material. On the other hand, if the tracheal tube side adapter 2 is made of a soft material, more favorable results can be obtained.

As shown in FIG. 1, a pair of nasal cannula openings 3 and two exhalation/intake openings 4 are provided in the middle.
The nasal cannula side adapter 1 provided with this was made of hard vinyl chloride resin, while the tracheal tube side adapter 2 was made of soft vinyl chloride resin with the connection port 5 having a circular shape with an inner diameter of 15 mm. The end of the tracheal tube side adapter 2 opposite to the connection port 5 was crushed and deformed into an oval shape, and the end was fitted into the nasal cannula side adapter 1, and both were fixed with adhesive.

Using the breathing circuit adapter of the present invention, it can be used to connect nasal cannula, tracheal tube, L-type, Y-type, U-type, etc.
It can be easily connected to various adapters such as models, spirometers, etc., and even in places where home oxygen therapy is being performed, tracheal intubation can be performed quickly to secure the airway according to changes in the patient's condition, and the nasal cannula can be easily connected. Not only is it possible to supply oxygen to the tracheal tube through the tracheal tube, but it is also possible to synchronize the breathing of a negative pressure ventilator, which is typically used in an open ventilator, to a patient with tracheal intubation, which is extremely useful in the medical industry. Useful.
