Conventionally, a decorative board called a line decorative board has been widely used. This line decorative board is made by assembling small frits such as brick-shaped wood pieces and blocks into a brickwork shape, then scraping the surface and pasting the decorative veneer obtained on a common substrate such as plywood. A groove is formed at the joining part of the upper small frit.

By the way, when forming grooves in a decorative board, the longitudinal grooves parallel to the wood fibers, called longitudinal grooves, can be efficiently formed at once using a groove cutter with multiple blades set in parallel. However, since the joining position of each small frit is discontinuous, the transverse grooves in the transverse direction for cutting the wood fibers are usually formed by hand, one by one, and it is extremely difficult to do so. It took a lot of time and effort.

In this invention, portions that look like horizontal grooves are formed in advance on the surface of the veneer at the stage of manufacturing decorative laminates from fritches, and a piece of wood is formed between the small frits of the assembled frits with grain or straight grain appearing on the surface. By interposing small pieces of wood so that the cut surfaces of the wood fibers are exposed, the colorant to be overcoated is easily absorbed, and the finish is darker than other parts.

The small fritches 1 used in the present invention are commonly used pieces of wood, blocks, etc., which are obtained by cutting long pieces of raw wood substantially parallel to the fiber direction of the wood so that the grain or straight grain of the wood appears on the surface.

The width of the end surface is not particularly limited, but it is usually about 2 to 10 mm thick, and the vertical and horizontal dimensions are the same as the shape of the end surface of the small fritch 1.

It is preferable that the small fritches 1 and the small pieces of wood 2 have a high water content higher than the fiber saturation point because when they are made into assembled fritches, there is no dimensional deviation, the assembly can be carried out accurately, and cutting work is facilitated.

Adhesives for assembling the small pieces of wood 2 and small fritches 1 mentioned above include wood adhesives such as common urea resin adhesives, vinyl acetate resin emulsion type adhesives, moisture-curing urethane resin adhesives, and underwater-curing adhesives. A type of epoxy resin adhesive or the like is used.

As for the assembly method, the small fritches 1 are temporarily arranged in a predetermined brick-laying style pattern on the joint surface of each small fritches 1 so that the grain or straight grain of the small pieces of wood is on the front side, and the small wood pieces 2 are with the wood grains on the front side. After that, adhesive is applied to the joint surfaces of each small frit 1 and small piece of wood 2, and the joints are pressed together from the periphery.

In addition, when joining the small fritches 1 and the small pieces of wood 2 in a wet state, it is necessary to take care to prevent them from drying out, such as by covering them with a moisture-impermeable film.

In the present invention, the laminated frit is made by interposing a small piece of wood 2 with a wood grain or a straight grain on the surface between a small frit 1 with a grain or a straight grain on the surface. Taking advantage of its property of having 10 to 10 times better permeability to water and organic solvents, the adhesive applied to the surface of the decorative veneer obtained by cutting the above-mentioned laminated fritsch is applied to the surface of the wood grain surface. This is to allow the paint to penetrate well into the affected areas and make them darker than other areas.

Small pieces of wood with a width of 3 mm with small frits and grains on the surface were cut from the raw wood of Sen, and assembled as shown in Figure 2 using moisture-curing urethane resin adhesive. A composite fritchie with a width of 32 cm and a length of 190 cm was created.

The decorative veneer was hot-press bonded to the surface of a 12 mm thick plywood board using a commonly used adhesive. Next, two vertical grooves with a width of 3 mm and a depth of 2 mm were formed along the small frit joint in the longitudinal direction on the surface of the decorative veneer, and actual processing was performed around the plywood. Next, a blackish brown oil-based coloring agent was applied to the surface of the veneer and wiped off with a cloth buff, and the vertical grooves, the exposed end surface of the decorative veneer, and the inside of the conduit grooves were colored darker than other parts. Finally, apply a transparent synthetic resin paint to the entire surface and let it dry.
We obtained a decorative veneer board that appeared to have the desired vertical and horizontal grooves.

As described above, the decorative veneer of the present invention is a decorative veneer made by assembling veneers in the shape of a brick stack, and although the process involves forming only vertical grooves as in the conventional method, It can be made to look like vertical and horizontal grooves have been applied, and the commercial value of the decorative board can be improved.
