Abstract

PURPOSE:To extend pot life to improve printing efficiency and to meet quality requirements by compounding a polyurethane-polyvinyl chloride ink with a specific curing agent. CONSTITUTION:A polyurethane-polyvinyl chloride ink as the main component is compounded with a monocyclic diisocyanate trimer of the formula (wherein R is hexylene) having a solid content of 100% to give a printing ink, which is suitably used for printing on a plastic material, a (surface-treated) metal, or a plated plastic or metal by pad or screen printing.

[Prior Art] Conventionally, urethane/PVC-based inks have been used for quick-drying purposes as printing inks used for exterior printing of optical equipment such as cameras, audio products, home appliances, and instruments. ing. This urethane/PVC ink is a mixture of urethane resin and vinyl chloride resin, and has both the properties of urethane and PVC, that is, it has the added properties of drying at room temperature and dryness to the touch due to PVC. . The compatibility of urethane and PVC can be changed freely, but
The more urethane there is, the stronger the urethane properties will be, and the more PVC there will be, the stronger the PVC properties will be. The preferred modification rate is 10
It is a denatured version of vinyl chloride of around 30%. As curing agents for such urethane/PVC inks, isocyanate trimer type polycyclic type with a solid content of 70 to 80% is used, but the pot life is short at less than 4 hours. As the viscosity increased, the printability deteriorated, which was a problem in terms of appearance quality.

In addition, various completely different types of ink have been studied, but the film strength, adhesion, solvent resistance, abrasion resistance, and surface hardness are unsatisfactory, making them completely unsuitable for the required products. Ta.

An object of the present invention is to provide a printing ink that can have a longer pot life than before and can satisfy required quality. [Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention, which can solve the above problems, A printing ink based on PVC ink is characterized by using a trimer-type monocyclic diisocyanate compound represented by the following structural formula (I) as a curing agent for the urethane/PVC ink at a solid content of 100%. This is a printing ink.

[In the formula, R represents a hexylene group. ] In the present invention, the conditions for selecting the curing agent are that the final performance when curing the ink at 70°C is equal to or better than conventional products, and that the pot life can be significantly longer than conventional products. . However, from an optical standpoint, the physical properties of the printed film often deteriorate as the pot life becomes longer. The trimer type monocyclic compound of the diisocyanate represented by the above general formula (I) in the present invention has a slow reaction rate. The pot life is about twice as long as that of conventional products, and the physical properties of the film do not deteriorate and the printing efficiency improves. Furthermore, since the content of isocyanate groups (NGO-) is approximately twice that of conventional products, the amount of curing agent used is approximately half of that of conventional products, making it economical.
