Abstract

PURPOSE:To readily, continuously and safely deodorize body smell, foul breath and otorrhea smell of an animal such as a dog or a cat by providing acrylic fiber and/or nylon fiber adsorbed of copper sulfide on faces of a collar and clothing for the animal bringing into contact with the animal. CONSTITUTION:The objective collar 1 for an animal and clothing 10 for the animal have acrylic fiber and/or nylon fiber 2 (also may be cloth 3 formed by said fiber 2) adsorbed of copper sulfide on at least faces bringing into contact with the animal (4 and 11 are base materials; 5 is clasp; 12 is string for wearing). Acrylic fiber and/or nylon fiber adsorbed of copper sulfide is produced by treating said fiber adsorbed of monovalent copper ion with a reducing aqueous solution containing hydrosulfite or a hydrosulfite-acting substance.

However, the effect of this method is temporary, so it must be done frequently for pets with strong body odor, which is not only time-consuming, but also because detergent ingredients are used to remove the animal's hair. This poses problems such as acting as an allergen on the skin of animals because it remains in the skin, and there are also problems from the viewpoint of animal health.

(Means for Solving the Invention) In view of the above-mentioned problems, as a result of intensive studies, the present inventor has developed a feature in which acrylic fibers and/or nylon fibers adsorbed with copper sulfide are provided at least on the surface that comes into contact with animals. An animal collar or animal clothing that eliminates body odor, bad breath, and ear discharge of the animal wearing the collar or clothing,
Furthermore, the inventors discovered that this collar or clothing is effective and safe as long as they are worn, leading to the completion of this invention.

(Effects of the Invention) The animal collar and animal clothing according to the present invention are characterized in that acrylic fibers and/or nylon fibers adsorbed with copper sulfide are provided on at least the surface that comes into contact with the animal. Since these are animal collars and animal clothing, as is clear from the above test examples and comparative examples, they can be worn on animals such as dogs to easily eliminate odors such as body odor, bad breath, and ear discharge odor of the animals wearing them. It has a continuous deodorizing and deodorizing effect.
