Abstract

PURPOSE:To make window display easy to observe without complicating software by arranging a complicated plane display capable of performing a transparent or translucent display state by overlapping, and providing a display control part for each plane display individually. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal display device LCD is comprised by overlapping the LCDs 1-3. The LCDs 1-3 are driven with independent display control parts 1-3, respectively, and also, the plane displays LCD1-3 can display the transparent or translucent display states. Therefore, the display contents of the plane displays LCD2 and LCD3 located at the rearward can be observed through the plane display LCD1 at the front when the plane display LCD1 is set at the transparent state. At such a case, parallax is generated depending on a position observing from the front due to the thickness of the plane display, and also, the display content of the plane display at the rearward darkens a little. Thereby, it is possible to remarkably make display easy to observe without using complicated software.

(C) Problems to be solved by the invention However, with the multi-window display method, there is a problem that the software becomes complicated and large-scale, and in order to make the window display easier to see, the display gradually becomes darker as it approaches the rear windows. If you try to control it like this,
There is a problem that the software for display control becomes larger and more complex.

(e) Effect In the multi-screen display device of the present invention, a plurality of flat displays are arranged one on top of the other, and since each flat display can display a transparent or semi-transparent state, the front flat display is in a transparent state. Sometimes, you can see the contents of the flat display behind you through the flat display. In this case, due to the thickness of the flat display, a parallax occurs between the display content on the front flat display and the display content on the rear flat display depending on the viewing position from the front, and the display content on the rear flat display becomes somewhat dark. Therefore, the screen has a sense of depth and is very easy to view. (f) Embodiment FIG. 1 is a block diagram of a multi-screen display device according to an embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the flat display is composed of a transmissive TFT and an LCD panel. As is well known, LCD is a TPT (TPT) in which a liquid crystal layer is arranged in a matrix.
When performing a color display, a color filter is placed on top of the thin film transistor) and a common transparent electrode, and furthermore, three LCDs (LCD1.LCD2.LCD3) of this structure are stacked on top and bottom. It is configured.

In the above configuration, the CPU 6 controls the display control units 12.3 independently, and does not particularly perform control such as erasing the display on the overlapping areas of display contents on each LCD. In other words, the CPU 6 controls each LCD as a completely independent display device, without being concerned with mutual interference between their display contents. In the user application, the content you want to display first is displayed on LCD 1.
, and if you want to display it behind it, select LCD2. Also, when you want to display the screen at the rearmost position, select LCD3. As a result of this control, the display contents seen from the front become as shown in FIG. 2, for example. In the diagram, A, B,
C are LCDI, LCD2. This is the content displayed on the LCD 3.

Assuming that each display content is set to the same color (black on a monochrome LCD) and the same gradation, the triangular display B will be a little darker because it passes through the LCDI, and the round display C will be darker than the LCD.
It becomes a little darker as it passes through I and LCD2. In addition, as shown in FIG. 1, the thickness of the LCD causes parallax depending on the viewing position, and the further back the display screen becomes, the darker it becomes, giving a sense of depth to the entire display.

(g1) Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, complicated software such as a multi-window system is not required to independently control the display of each flat display, and there is an advantage that the burden of display control is lightened. In addition, the display naturally becomes darker as it moves toward the rear display screen, and parallax occurs due to the thickness of the flat display, resulting in a sense of depth in the screen display. For this reason, the display can be displayed with a simple configuration. can be made very visible.
