Conventionally, there is a type of endoscope that covers the insertion part of the endoscope with a flexible bag-like cover that almost tightly covers it, and then performs endoscopy as it is (1976-
Publication No. 47587). In other words, this cover allows endoscopic examination to be performed hygienically, and furthermore, it can be discarded after use.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] Incidentally, in recent years, the diameter of the insertion portion of an endoscope has been reduced. In particular, when rigid endoscopes are made thinner and longer, there is a problem in that the insertion portion is more likely to break during storage, transportation, disinfection, or other handling of the endoscope.

The conventional cover described above is intended to perform an endoscopy in a sanitary manner, and is a very flexible bag-shaped cover that tightly fits around the outer periphery of the insertion section. Therefore, it is not possible to prevent the endoscope insertion portion from breaking.

The protective cover 1 is constructed as shown in FIG. That is, the protective cover 1 is composed of a cylindrical cover part 7 that fits over the insertion part 4 of the rigid endoscope 2, and a connecting member 8 that holds and fixes the base end of the cover part 7 by a method such as press fitting. Both the cover portion 7 and the connecting member 8 are made of a chemically resistant material such as metal or resin.

The cover portion 7 has an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the insertion portion 4. Further, the connecting member 8 has an insertion hole 9 through which the insertion portion 4 of the rigid endoscope 2 is passed, and a fitting hole 10 that is fitted into the main body 3 of the rigid endoscope 2. It is equal to the inner diameter. Further, the inner diameter b of the fitting hole 10 is slightly larger than the outer diameter a of the main body 3 of the rigid endoscope 2. Furthermore, a protrusion 11 is provided on the inner periphery of the opening end of the fitting hole 10.
is formed. The inner diameter c of this protrusion 11
is smaller than the outer diameter a of the main body 3 of the rigid endoscope 2. Further, the peripheral edge of the connecting member 8 forming the fitting hole 10 is provided with a plurality of slots 1 as shown expanded in FIG.
2, and its fitting side periphery is made elastic. As shown in Fig. 3, one slot 12 is made wider to form a light guide base 5.
A groove 13 is formed into which the holder is fitted.

When using this protective cover 1, the insertion section 4 of the rigid endoscope 2 is inserted into the protective cover 1 from the connecting member 8 side. When the main body part 3 of the rigid endoscope 2 enters the fitting hole 10, it pushes out the protrusion 11, climbs over this protrusion 11, and protects the protective cover 1.
It fits within the space as shown in Figure 4. In addition, at this time,
Orient the light guide cap 5 so that it fits into the groove 13 and push it in.

Since the inner diameter dimension C of the protrusion 11 is smaller than the outer diameter dimension a of the main body part 3 of the rigid endoscope 2, the main body part 3 and the connecting member 8 do not easily come apart. Therefore, the two are reliably connected without coming apart.

By attaching the protective cover 1 in this manner, the insertion section 4 of the rigid endoscope 2 is protected by the cover section 7. Therefore, when handling the rigid endoscope 2 in this state, such as storing, transporting, disinfecting, etc., the insertion section 4
No external force is applied to the material, preventing it from breaking.

FIG. 5 shows a second embodiment of the present invention. The protective cover 1 of this embodiment is almost the same as that of the first embodiment, but differs in the following points. First, the groove 13 of the connecting member 8 for inserting and fixing the light guide cap 5 is formed along an L-shape.
The width in the longitudinal direction is made wider than the outer diameter of the light guide cap 5. Further, the width in the circumferential direction is slightly narrower than the outer diameter of the light guide cap 5. Then, insert the rigid endoscope 2 into the protective cover 1, and insert the light guide cap 5 until it hits the longitudinal part of the groove 13.
After abutment, the protective cover 1 or the rigid mirror 2 is rotated, and the light guide base 5 is fitted into the circumferential portion of the groove 13 and fixed. Since this circumferential portion is narrower than the outer diameter of the light guide cap 5, it is securely fitted and fixed and will not easily come off.

Further, the cover portion 7 of this embodiment is provided with a plurality of holes 20, through which a chemical solution or gas can pass. Therefore, when disinfecting or sterilizing the protective cover 1 with the protective cover 1 attached, the permeability of the chemical solution or gas through the holes 20 is improved, and the entire rigid scope 2 can be reliably disinfected and sterilized.

FIG. 6 shows a third embodiment of the present invention. In the protective cover 1 of this embodiment, the cover part 7 and the connecting member 8 are constituted by a pipe 25 having an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the main body part 3 of the rigid endoscope 2 (which is naturally larger than the outer diameter of the insertion part 4). . and,
The groove 13 into which the light guide cap 5 is fitted is constructed in the same manner as in the second embodiment.

FIG. 7 shows a fourth embodiment of the present invention. In the protective cover 1 of this embodiment, the cover portion 7 and the connecting member 9 are constituted by a pipe 25 as in the third embodiment. However, the groove 13 into which the light guide cap 5 is fitted is formed only along the longitudinal direction.
Furthermore, a circumferential groove 3 into which a ring 31 having a notch 30 having a width greater than the width of the groove 13 is rotatably fitted.

When using this protective cover 1, align the notch 30 of the ring 31 with the groove 13, insert the rigid scope 2 from the insertion section 4 side, and insert the light guide cap 5 of the main body section 3 into the groove. Insert it into 13. When the cap 5 fits deep into the groove 13, the ring 31 is turned to close the open end of the groove 13. This prevents the light guide cap 5 from coming off and secures the connection.
