Therefore, conventionally, decorative steel sheets with a relatively large thickness of 0.7 mm or more have been frequently used.

As shown in FIG. 2, the housing according to the present invention consists of a lower case 2 that houses an electronic circuit component 3, and an upper case 6 that covers the upper part of the lower case 2. The upper case 6 is particularly problematic. As shown in Figure 1, a decorative metal plate 7 is formed by bending side walls 13 and 14 from the side edge of a ceiling wall 10, and a conductive metal plate 7 is formed with a large number of parallel reinforcing ribs 15 protruding toward one side. A backing plate 8 is provided on at least the inner surface side of the top wall 10 of the decorative metal plate 7.

By bending inward at right angles at points A and B, the side wall 1 is
3 and 14 are bent downward and connected in a U-shaped cross section. Note that the decorative metal plate 7 may be made of other metal plates such as aluminum having electromagnetic shielding properties. Further, the surface decoration may be a decorative foil or a decorative sheet in addition to the coating film.

By this means, a large number of parallel reinforcing ribs 15 are formed in advance over almost the entire surface so as to protrude toward one surface. Of course, the backing plate 8 may be made of stainless steel.

On the other hand, the back plate 8 is set to have a longitudinal length slightly longer than the top wall 10, and in addition to the back side of the top wall 10, the top wall edges 11 and 12 connecting the top wall 10 and the side walls 13 and 14 are It is also reinforced from the back side. The backing plates 8 of the side walls 13 and 14 can also be omitted.
