Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the color fading or the discoloration by applying a transparent paint in which ultraviolet-ray absorbing sol is mixed to the surface of a cabinet of a synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:A paint substantially composed of an acryl resin, a polyolefin resin and a pigment is applied onto the surface of a base body of a loudspeaker cabinet made of polypropylene. It becomes a dry-touch state in about ten minutes. A treatment liquid can be made by adjusting an original liquid in which a liquid of 76 weight % SeO, and a toluene liquid of an acryl resin of 45 weight % solid portion by a paint thinner. By this paint film, a high commodity value can be maintained. As for ultraviolet-ray absorbing sol, TiO sol and ZnO sol are also effective.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, many speaker cabinets used in outdoor environments, such as car-mounted speakers, deteriorate and fade due to direct sunlight, especially the ultraviolet rays contained therein. This tendency is particularly strong in paints with added dyes, and even if pigments that are less susceptible to ultraviolet rays are selected, discoloration often occurs due to deterioration of the resin that is mixed with the pigment and makes up the paint material.
