Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the vibration noise generated by a deflection yoke by providing a cushion material with vibration absorbing characteristic between a magnetic piece and a separator holding a horizontal deflecting coil. CONSTITUTION:A deflection yoke for a cathode-ray tube is constituted of a horizontal deflecting coil 1, a vertical deflecting coil 2 supported by a ferrite core 3, a separator 4 holding the coil 1, and a rear magnetic piece 5 fitted on the separator 4. A cushion material 100 with vibration absorbing characteristic is provided between the magnetic piece 5 and the separator 4. When the cushion material 100 is provided, the magnetic piece 5 generates vibration via the deflection magnetic field, but this vibration is absorbed by the cushion material 100, the vibration of the separator 4 is suppressed, thus the vibration noise of the deflection yoke is sharply reduced.

First, there is the convergence function, which concentrates the three electron beams emitted from the electron gun sealed in the neck of the CRT over the entire screen, and the horizontal deflection function, which suppresses the pincushion-shaped distortion that occurs on the left and right sides of the screen. There is a semi-pinless function that eliminates the need for current correction or reduces the amount of correction current as much as possible. In order to achieve the above convergence function, the horizontal deflection magnetic field has a bin magnetic field distribution as shown in Figure 7(a).
Further, the horizontal deflection coil 1 and the vertical deflection coil 2 are shaped so that the vertical deflection magnetic field produces lines of magnetic force having a barrel magnetic field distribution as shown in FIG. 7(b). However, the vertical deflection magnetic field having a barrel magnetic field distribution acts in a direction that increases left and right pincushion distortion, resulting in the result shown in Fig. 8 (
As shown in b), a large left-right pincushion distortion remains. In order to improve this, a strong barrel magnetic field distribution is applied to the rear side of the deflection yoke near the electron gun in the vertical deflection magnetic field distribution, and also to the fluorescent surface. This problem was solved by creating a strong bin magnetic field distribution on the front side of the nearby deflection yoke.

However, it has been extremely difficult to form the magnetic field distribution as described above only by the winding distribution of the coil. Therefore, it was possible to achieve the magnetic field distribution as described above using the method disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 62-76140 as shown in FIG. Diagram (a)
As shown in (b), two rear magnetic pieces 5 are provided on the rear side of the separator 4, one above the other, and four front magnetic pieces 8 are provided on the front side at diagonal positions at each of the four corners. . By providing a magnetic piece with high magnetic permeability in the vertical deflection magnetic field, it is easy to create a strong barrel magnetic field distribution on the rear side and a strong bottle magnetic field distribution on the front side, as shown in Figure 5 (a) and (b). As a result, with this deflection yoke, it has become possible to create a screen with small left and right pincushion distortion as shown in FIG. 8(a) while maintaining the convergence function.

In the deflection yoke having the magnetic piece shown in FIG. 4 as described above, the magnetic piece is adhesively fixed to a predetermined position of the separator with adhesive 7 as shown in FIGS. 6(a) and b), and then the magnetic piece is The surface of the piece is protected and fixed by covering it with tape 6. However, with this fixing method, the magnetic pieces are exposed to a vertically deflecting magnetic field, and the magnetic pieces are excited to vibrate by the magnetic field, and the vibrations of the magnetic pieces are transmitted to some surfaces of the separator to which they are adhesively fixed, causing them to oscillate together. It was emitting vibration noise.

In this way, when a cushioning material is provided between a magnetic piece and a separator, the magnetic piece causes vibration due to the deflection magnetic field (mainly a vertical deflection magnetic field), but this vibration is absorbed by the cushioning material. By suppressing the vibration of the separator which was vibrating together with the deflection yoke, the vibration noise of the deflection yoke is significantly reduced.
