Abstract

PURPOSE:To enlarge deviation and emphasis amts. of a luminance signal to be FM-modulated and to raise a recording level of a chrominance signal by recording/reproducing the chrominance signal with a head which is different from that for the luminance signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal to be supplied to a head 4 for recording the luminance signal is the signal FM-modulated in a recording processing circuit 1, while signals to be supplied to a head 5 are a sound signal FM-modulated in a recording processing circuit 3 and the chrominance signal frequency-converted into a low band in a recording processing circuit 2. The individual signals are supplied to the heads, which are the heads 4a and 4b for recording/reproducing the luminance signal and the heads 5a and 5b for recording/reproducing the chrominance signal and the sound signal, having their different azimuthal angles. By this method, the emphasis amt. and deviation of the luminance signal are enlarged, and the recording level of the chrominance signal is increased, so that the S/N ratio can be improved.

再生するという構成をとることにより、輝度信号と色信
号を周波数多重する必要がなくなり、輝度信号と色信号
の間の混変調が発生しない。すなわち、輝度信号のエン
フ1シス量やデビエーシッンを大きく取れ、色信号の記
録レベルを増加させSN比を向上させることができるよ
うになる。

、輝度信号のエンファシス量やデビエーションを大きく
取れ、色信号の記録レベルを増加させSN比を向上させ
ることができる。
