Description
本発明は、摺動接点材料の改良に関する。
摺動接点材料としては、従来Au70重量%、Pt5
重量%、Ag10重量%、Cu14重量%、Nil重量%
より成るものが広く用いられてきたが、(昭和40
年7月8日に工業日日新聞社から発行された日本
電子材料技術協会編の「新しい接点材料」第30頁
参照。)この摺動接点材料にて作つた摺動接点を
備えたコミテーターは、相手方の摺動接点である
ブラシにもよるが、その加工履歴、硬さのバラン
ス、使用条件などによつて、摺動時機械的、電気
的腐食により発生する酸化物の為、耐摩耗性が劣
下し、摩耗粉が発生し易く、摩耗粉が生じた場合
にはノイズが発生していた。
本発明は、斯かる従来の摺動接点材料の問題を
解消すべくなされたものであり、摺動時に機械
的、電気的腐食により発生する酸化物を潤滑剤と
なして、耐摩耗性を向上し且つ接触抵抗を低く安
定させることのできる摺動接点材料を提供せんと
するものである。
本発明の摺動接点材料の1つは、Au65〜75重
量%、Pd3〜8重量%、Ag5〜15重量%、Cu10〜
18重量%、Zn0.1〜2重量%より成るものである。
本発明の摺動接点材料の他の1つは、組成比で
Au65〜75重量%、Pd3〜8重量%、Ag5〜15重量
%、Cu10〜18重量%、Zn0.1〜2重量%のAu―
Pd―Ag―Cu―Znが95.0〜99.5重量%及び残部が
Nb、Ba及びCdの少なくとも一種を合計で0.5〜
5重量%より成るものである。
本発明の摺動接点材料に於いて、Au65〜75重
量%、Pd3〜8重量%、Ag5〜15重量%、Cu10〜
18重量%、Zn0.1〜2重量%と成分組成を限定し
た理由は、従来広く用いられていたAu70重量%、
Pt5重量%、Ag10重量%、Cu14重量%、Ni1重量
%より成る摺動接点材料中のPtをPdに置換し、
またNiをZnに置換することにより、摺動時の機
械的、電気的腐食を抑え、酸化物の発生を減少
し、耐摩耗性を向上させることができるからであ
り、各成分の組成に幅を持たせたのは、この摺動
接点材料にて作つた摺動接点の相手方となる摺動
接点の材質及び機械的性質に対応する為である。
また組成比でAu65〜75重量%、Pd3〜8重量
%、Ag5〜15重量%、Cu10〜18重量%、Zn0.1〜
2重量%のAu―Pd―Ag―Cu―Znが95.0〜99.5重
量%及び残部がNb、Ba及びCdの少なくとも一種
を合計で0.5〜5重量%とする理由は、Nb、Ba
及びCdの少なくとも一種を、摺動時に酸化物と
して発生させ、これらを潤滑剤として機能させる
為で、Nb、Ba及びCdの少なくとも一種を合計で
0.5重量%未満ではその機能を発揮させることが
できず、5.0重量%を超えると、酸化物の発生が
多過ぎて接触抵抗が高く且つ不安定となるもので
ある。
次に本発明の摺動接点材料の具体的な実施例と
従来例について説明する。
下記の表の左欄に示す成分組成の実施例1〜16
の摺動接点材料と従来例の摺動接点材料にて作つ
た厚さ1.0mm、幅9mmの摺動接点を外周に備えた
直径10mm、幅10mmのコミテーターにPd35重量%、
Ag30重量%、Au10重量%、Pt10重量%、Cu14
重量%、Zn1重量%より成る刷子接点を有する刷
子を接触力50gにて接触させ、温度23℃(室内)、
湿度67%RH(室内)、回転数1000回転/分で7時
間、13.2Km摺動試験し、接触抵抗ならびに摩耗量
を測定した処、下記の表の右欄に示すような結果
を得た。

接点材料にて作つた摺動接点は、従来例の摺動接
点材料にて作つた摺動接点に比べ、接触抵抗が低
く且つばらつきが少なく安定していることが判
る。また摩耗量についても著しく少なく、耐摩耗
性に優れていることが判る。これはひとえに酸化
物の発生を減少したり、また発生する酸化物が潤
滑剤となりしかもやわらかい為容易に除去できた
りする為である。
以上詳記した通り本発明の摺動接点材料は、摺
動時に発生する酸化物が減少して耐摩耗性が向上
し、またNb、Ba及びCdの少なくとも一種を合計
で0.5〜5.0重量%とすることにより発生する酸化
物が潤滑剤となつて、より耐摩耗性が向上し、且
つその酸化物がやわらかい為摺動作用により容易
に除去されるので接触抵抗が低く安定する。従つ
て従来の摺動接点材料にとつて代わることのでき
