Polyethylene as disclosed in Publication No. 18863,
Honeycomb cores using water-resistant synthetic resin films such as polypropylene and polyester have been proposed. However, although the water resistance of this honeycomb core has been improved by using a film, the knot line, which is the adhesive part, does not have sufficient adhesive strength, so it is easy to peel off during the manufacturing process, and it is difficult to use as a honeycomb core. It also had the drawback of lacking strength.

This is an advantageous method because it can be heated and pressed using a calendar roll or the like, and the attachment of the film 3 and the nonwoven fabric 4 can be completed at the same time as the formation of the nonwoven fabric 4. Further, the fibers constituting the nonwoven fabric 4 are the film 3
It is preferable to use the same type of resin, such as polyester, because stronger adhesive strength can be obtained.

After crimping, it is formed by cutting to a predetermined size and stretching it. Here, the sheet-like material 2 is preferably laminated so that the film surface and the nonwoven fabric surface face each other, and the honeycomb core formed in this way has a nonwoven fabric layer that carries an adhesive between the film layers. Since the knots are interposed, a knot line with a strong bond can be obtained. Further, it is preferable to apply the adhesive to the surface of the nonwoven fabric, since the adhesive can sufficiently penetrate into the inside of the nonwoven fabric.

This is preferable because the nonwoven fabrics are necessarily bonded to each other at the knot line, and a stronger bond can be obtained.

There are many. Also in adhesion between the honeycomb core 1 and the surface material 5, the nonwoven fabric layer effectively acts as an adhesive carrier, so that a better adhesion state can be obtained than when using a honeycomb core formed only of film.

Because the nonwoven fabric layer plays the role of supporting adhesive,
It has a strong bond and has excellent peel strength. Also, when bonding the honeycomb core and the surface material, since the nonwoven fabric comes into contact with the surface material,
Adhesive properties are better than honeycomb cores made only of film. Furthermore, especially when a honeycomb core is impregnated with a phenol resin or an epoxy resin, the presence of the nonwoven fabric layer provides extremely good impregnating properties and excellent workability. As the honeycomb core of the present invention has various excellent properties, it can be used in a wide range of applications such as building materials, ships, and aircraft materials. In particular, it can be used in building materials such as kitchens and doors, and in water applications such as ships. It is useful as a structural material used in places where it comes into frequent contact with other people.
