本発明は、ストリップの熱間圧延あるいは熱処理等に用
いる、ストリップの水冷装置に関するものである.
[従来技術]
第2図は従来技術を示す説明図である.ストリップ(幅
a)4は、ローラー8上を紙面に直角方向に移動し、ヘ
ッダ−《幅b)9のノズル3から冷却水がラミナーフロ
ーを形成して、ストリップ上に落下し、これを冷却する
.ストリップの幅aは、製品寸法に応じて変動するので
、ヘッダの有効幅(最外側ノズル問の距離)bはaの最
大値に対応して定めている.
[発明が解決しようとする課l!]
しかしながら、従来の装置は以上のように構成されてい
るので、ヘッダーのb−aに相当する長さだけ、無効な
冷却水を放出している.本発明は、上記問題点を解決し
冷却水を有効に使用できるストリップの水冷装置を提案
することをその目的とするものである.
[課題を解決するための手段]
本発明は係る、ストリップの水冷装置は、ストリップ搬
送路の上部で、冷却水を放出するストリップの水冷装置
において、該放出用のヘッダーに複数のノズルを配し、
該ヘッダーの1以上の部分を旋回可能とするストリップ
の水冷装置である.
[作用]
本発明におけるストリップの水冷装置は、ヘッダーの1
以上の部分を上下または左右に旋回可能とすることによ
って、そのストリップに関する投影面が常時ストリップ
全幅内に入るように!l整する.
[実施例]
第1図は本発明の一実施例を示す説明図である.冷却水
は導管5を経由してチーズ6に至り、フレキシブルチュ
ーブ7を経由してヘッダ−1に至る.ヘッダ−1は支点
2のまわりを上下に旋回可能であるiこの水平面に関す
る角度をαとし、ヘッダーに装着している複数のノズル
3の有効長く支点2より最外側ノズルまでの距離》をC
とし、ローラー8上を走行するストリップ4の幅をdと
すると、

となるように、角度αを設定することにより冷却水を有
効に利用することが可能となる.また角度aは先行スト
リップ通過後に、後行ストリップの幅に対応して変更す
る.その設定は、ストリップの水冷装置を制御する上計
算機によって行われる.なお、本発明においては、ラミ
ナールフロー型ノズルについて説明したがスプレイ型ノ
ズルについても本発明は適用可能であり、旋回面が水平
面であっても良い.また、この種のストリップの水冷装
置は、圧延にも、熱処理にも使用することが出来る.
[発明の効果]
以上のように、本発明は冷却水のへッダーを旋回可能と
したので、冷却水の使用が大幅に低下し、冷却水原単位
