Abstract

PURPOSE:To save the current consumption by actuating intermittently the power supply of a reception device while monitoring the incoming signal. CONSTITUTION:When a receiver 6 receives radio waves, an incoming detecting circuit 7 compares the individual identification signal received from a transmission device 1 with that set previously at an individual identification signal storage circuit 9. When the coincidence is obtained between both signals, the supply of power of a battery 11 is discontinued for a fixed period to the receiver 6 and the circuit 7 and then restarted by a main timer circuit 10. While an un-incoming state is decided if no coincidence is obtained between both identification signals, the power is continuously supplied by the circuit 10. Furthermore a secondary timer circuit 12 is actuated by the circuit 7 so that an alarm is produced from a sound generator 8 when an un-incoming state lasts for a fixed period during which the individual identification signals can be decided many times. As a result, the power consumption of the battery 11 is reduced.

Transmitting device l is electric 8! ! 2, an individual identification signal storage circuit 3, and a transmitter 4, and the transmitter 4 continuously transmits the individual identification signal preset in the individual identification signal storage circuit 3. A receiving device 5 that receives radio waves from the transmitting device 1 has a receiver 6, an incoming call detection circuit 7, a sounding body 8, an individual identification signal storage circuit 9, a main timer circuit 10, a battery 11, and a sub-timer circuit 12. When the receiver 6 receives a radio wave, the incoming call detection circuit 7 compares the individual identification signal from the transmitting device 1 with the individual identification signal preset in the individual identification signal storage circuit 9, and if they match, the main timer circuit 1
0, the battery 11 is connected to the receiver 6 and the incoming call detection circuit 7 for a certain period of time.
After stopping the supply of power, start supplying it again. That is, while there is an incoming call from the transmitting device 1 to the receiving device 5 due to intermittent checking, a human is responsible for determining that the portable item is normal and checking to see if it has been left behind. If the individual identification signals do not match, it is determined that the call has not arrived, and the timer circuit 10 continuously supplies power, so that the receiving device 5 enters a continuous receiving state. Furthermore, by operating the sub-timer circuit 12 by the incoming call detection circuit 7, when the incoming call state continues for a certain period of time during which the individual identification signal can be determined several times, the sounding element 8 is operated to issue an alarm. In other words, an abnormality with the portable item is notified.

Figure 2(a). (b) shows the power supply 1 by the main timer circuit 10 and the sub-timer circuit 12 of the receiving device of this embodiment.
1 is a sequence diagram in which the device 1 is operated intermittently, and the power supply can be saved during the hibernation state shown in the figure, and the power supply is in the operating state only during the time period when there is a possibility that a call is not received.

As explained above, the present invention allows the power supply of the receiving device to operate intermittently while monitoring incoming signals, thereby significantly reducing current consumption and extending the usage time when a battery or the like is used as the power source of the receiving device. There is a certain effect. Furthermore, by causing the transmitting device to perform intermittent transmission without changing the configuration of the receiving device, it is possible to lengthen the usage time of the transmitting device.
