Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject spraying solution containing an isothiocyanic ester of a specified concentration, having a highly quickly acting nature of anti fungal effect, freshness-preserving effect and deodorizing effect, due to the direct contact with the objectives by such droplet form. CONSTITUTION:The objective spray solution can be obtained by dissolving an isothiocyanic ester in an organic liquid (esp. pref. ethanol or aqueous ethanol). Practically, an injection equipment is used, which is such that said spray solution has been encapsulated under pressure together with a jetting agent into a closed vessel equipped with a jet nozzle. Low concentration will be enough since the present solution is sprayed in the form of droplets against objects. Thereby the sharp irradiating odor of said ester can be suppressed, resulting in no deterioration of the environment. The present solution can be applied to the food field, therapies for skin disease, etc., taking advantage of its anti-fungal nature, freshness retentivity, deodorizing ability, etc.

(Prior art and its problems) It has been known from experience that wasabi has antibacterial, antifungal, and anticorrosive effects.6 However, isothiocyanate, which is the main component of wasabi, is an active ingredient. Industrial agents such as antibacterial agents, antifungal agents, and freshness-preserving agents have not yet been developed. This is because isothiocyanate esters are difficult to handle substances that give off a strong pungent odor, and are highly volatile. This is thought to be due to

In order to make isothiocyanate esters easier to handle, the applicant proposed a drug in which clay minerals with a fibrous crystal structure such as seviolite are impregnated with isothiocyanate esters (Japanese Patent Application No. 63-267661). ), this drug has a suppressed volatility of isothiocyanate ester due to the fibrous crystal structure of the clay mineral, and gradually evaporates the isothiocyanate ester over a long period of time, and the volatilized isothiocyanate ester By bringing the vapor into contact with an object, it obtains antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-rot properties.

It means antibacterial effect, etc. The anti-mold effect refers to the effect of preventing the growth of mold on various solid surfaces such as glass and concrete walls, as well as on food. The freshness-preserving effect refers to the effect of preventing mold from forming on food, preventing spoilage and fermentation of food, and preventing deterioration of freshness. Furthermore, its deodorizing effect eliminates bad odors such as those caused by food spoilage (amine odor) and bad odors caused by bacterial decomposition of lipids (lower fatty acid odor such as isovaleric acid, sulfur compound odor such as indole, etc.). It means odor effect or deodorizing effect. It is an unexpected fact discovered by the present inventors that isothiocyanate esters have a deodorizing effect on bad odors.

A preferred organic liquid for use in the present invention is ethanol or aqueous ethanol. In the case of aqueous ethanol, considering the solubility of isothiocyanate esters, the upper limit of water content should be 50% by weight or less. Ethanol itself has strong antibacterial and antifungal properties, so its use is very preferable. When using ethanol as an organic liquid for dissolving isothiocyanate esters, it is preferable to add and mix a non-volatile liquid in order to control the transpiration of the adhering solution when the solution is sprayed onto the object. can. Such a hardly volatile liquid has a temperature of 150°C or higher, preferably 1
Those having a boiling point of 80°C or higher are used. Examples of such a hardly volatile liquid include the above-mentioned polyhydric alcohols and oily liquids. The amount of the hardly volatile liquid added is generally 10 to 100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of ethanol, but is not particularly limited.

Since isothiocyanate ester is ejected in a low concentration solution state, the strong irritating odor caused by isothiocyanate ester is suppressed and does not particularly deteriorate the surrounding environment. Since it comes in contact with the liquid in liquid form, it is much more effective than contacting it in vapor form.
