Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the inside of a head assembly and an objective lens from being contaminated by providing a blowing means which inducts outside air to the inside of the head assembly through a filter. CONSTITUTION:The air from a fan 1 enters a filter A 2 and the contaminant in the air is removed before entering an air tank 3. There is a groove on the head assembly 4 side of the tank 3 and the groove is blocked by the head assembly 4 other than a hole cut on the bottom of the head assembly 4. Then, a collar 5 protrudes so that the groove is blocked by the head assembly 4 even when a head moves. The air which enters the groove enters the hole on the bottom of the head assembly 4. The air in the hole is made cleaner by a filter B 6 again and enters the head assembly 4. The air in the head assembly 4 gets out of the head assembly 4 from both sides of the objective lens 7.

部品は清掃が不可能なので長時間使用すると汚れのため
光ディスク装置が動かなくなる欠点もある。
