Abstract

PURPOSE:To completely cope even with the difference of sheets in thickness being a toner image supporting material and to attain satisfactory fixing by varying the set temperature of the outer periphery of a heating roll in response to the type of the toner image supporting material. CONSTITUTION:On receiving a toner image supporting material identifying signal (a), a temperature setting mechanism 7 determines a set temperature in response to the signal. Then, the mechanism 7 outputs a set temperature determining signal (b), and stores a newly set temperature in a set temperature storing part 8. On the other hand, a halogen lamp control mechanism 5 receives the current temperature of the outer periphery of the heating roll 2, which is detected with a temperature sensor 4 by a detecting signal (d), reads out a temperature newly setting signal (c) from the storing part 8. Two pieces of information are compared and operated to determine energy quantity to be supplied to the halogen lamp 1, and the energy is supplied to the lamp 1 through an energy supply line (e). The lamp 1 emits heat corresponding to the energy and heats the roll 2.

Description

する。

れた用紙に対するトナーの定着動作を行う加圧ローラと
、加熱ローラの外周温度を連続的に測定する温度センサ
と、この温度センサからの出力を所定の基準温度値と比
較してハロゲンランプに対する通電電流の大きさを定め
るランプ用通電制御手段とを有している。そして、ラン
プ用通電制御手段に設定される基準温度値を外部操作に
よって異なった値に選定する設定温度決定機構と、この
設定温度決定機構に付勢されて作動し基準温度値を設定
温度決定機構により定められた他の基準温度値に変化せ
しめる設定温度格納部とを備える、という構成を採って
いる。これによって前述した目的を達成しようとするも
のである。

しく拡大することができるという従来にない優れた電子
写真用定着装置を提供することができる。

部操作によって異なった値に選定する設定温度決定機構
と、この設定温度決定機構に付勢されて作動し前記基準
温度値を前記設定温度決定機構により定められた他の基
準温度値に変化せしめる設定温度格納部とを備えたこと
を特徴とする電子写真用定着装置。
