Conventionally, barcode labels have been created by printing on plain paper by ink transfer, or by printing on carbon paper, thermal paper, magnetic tape, etc. using simple printers suitable for each. However, in the above-mentioned printing method, for example, when using ink, hands are easily stained when the ink roll is replaced, or image unevenness is likely to occur, and special means are required to stabilize the image against friction. Furthermore, in the heat-sensitive method, since both the color developer and the color former remain on the label surface even after printing, color staining is likely to occur due to post-heating. In the method using carbon paper, the transferred pigment and wax adhere to the label, and the clarity is likely to deteriorate due to heat and friction.

All of the above-mentioned drawbacks are causes of reducing the reading accuracy of barcode labels, and this reduction in reading accuracy is especially noticeable when barcodes are printed on label paper and affixed to products from time to time. .

The object of the present invention is to provide a new barcode label paper set that overcomes the above-mentioned drawbacks. The structural feature of the present invention is that a tape carrying microcapsules containing a colored dye solution on the back side and a release tape on which barcode label paper carrying adhesive on the back side is removably attached at regular intervals are stacked. This pressure-sensitive barcode label paper set has an integrated structure. In addition, the performance characteristics when using this invention are that the colored dye solution that flows out from the microcapsules destroyed by pressure-sensitive printing is immediately absorbed into the label paper.
It is fixed and remains stable after the solvent evaporates. Therefore, according to the present invention, contamination, reduction in clarity,
It has the advantage of being able to eliminate the drawbacks of conventional products, such as stains caused by friction.

In the figure, microcapsules 2 containing a colored dye solution are supported on the back surface of a tape 1. The barcode label paper 3 is releasably attached to a release paper (release tape) 5 at regular intervals via an adhesive 4 on the back side, so that the two are integrated.

In pressure-sensitive printing methods such as those using the barcode label paper set of the present invention, in order to clearly attach the barcode to the label paper, the printing force of the printer must uniformly destroy the microcapsules in the printing area. There is a need. For this purpose, the tape supporting the microcapsules in the present invention must have a thickness of, for example, 30μ or less, preferably 6 to 20μ, and a uniform thickness, so that the tape itself cannot be damaged by the pressure of the printer. Preferably, it does not. Plastic film is suitable as a material that satisfies these conditions.

Further, as the colored dye to be encapsulated in the microcapsules, any dye can be used as long as it has a high solubility in an organic solvent, and there is no particular restriction. Examples of these dyes include monoazo dyes, bisazo dyes, metal complex type monoazo dyes, anthraquinone dyes, phthalocyanine dyes, and triallylmethane dyes.

The tape to be overlaid with the tape carrying the microcapsules containing the colored dye solution is not particularly limited, and may be any tape in which barcode label paper is releasably attached to release paper at regular intervals using an adhesive. do not have. Furthermore, the release paper (release tape) referred to in the present invention does not necessarily mean only paper, since any base material that can be easily peeled off when attached via an adhesive supported on the back side of barcode label paper is sufficient. It may be a plastic sheet instead of a plastic sheet. The adhesive used here is selected depending on the material to which the label paper is attached, and the material for the release paper may be selected depending on the type of adhesive.

To create a barcode label using the barcode label paper set of the present invention constructed as described above, the tape carrying microcapsules is printed into a predetermined shape using a bar printer, dot printer, etc. Just apply pressure and print.
A barcode printed in a short time after printing is stably fixed on the label, and it is possible to create a barcode label that does not get dirty even if rubbed and remains clear even after several months have passed.
