リツタを介して対物レンズにより集光して光情報
記録媒体に導き情報の記録を行うと共に、その光
情報記録媒体からの反射光を前記偏光ビームスプ
リツタにより反射して信号検出光学系に導きトラ
ツクエラー信号やフオーカスエラー信号の検出を
行う光ピツクアツプ装置において、前記光情報記
録媒体からの前記反射光が前記偏光ビームスプリ
ツタにより反射され前記信号検出光学系内に導か
れることにより形成された光路上に集光レンズを
配設し、この集光レンズにより集光された光の光
路上に光路分離部材を配設し、この光路分離部材
により分離された一方の光路上の集光点の前方に
位置させて少なくとも4分割された受光面を有す
る受光素子を配設すると共に、他方の光路上の集
光点の後方に位置させて少なくとも4分割された
受光面を有する受光素子を配設したことを特徴と
