ガラス台と、原稿を前記ガラス台に押圧するため
の、前記ガラス台のスリツトに相対する位置に溝
を設けた原稿蓋と、前記光学ユニツトに取り付け
られ、原稿の副走査方向の長さを検知する原稿検
知可動部を支持するセンサを有し、前記光学ユニ
ツトの移動にともない、前記原稿検知可動部の一
部が原稿の紙面から外れ、前記原稿蓋に設けられ
た溝に突入することによつて前記センサが作動し
、前記ガラス台に載せた原稿の副走査方向の長さ
を検知するよう構成することを特徴とする原稿検
