In a forced air-cooled electronic device in which a fan generates an air flow along the surface of a board 1 on which electronic components are mounted and removes heat generated by the electronic components, an electronic device located upstream of the air flow A temperature sensor 3 is provided above the component 2, and a temperature sensor 4 is also provided at a predetermined position on the downstream side of the air flow.
1. A cooling abnormality detection device for a forced air-cooled electronic device, characterized in that the device is provided with a determining means for determining the presence or absence of a cooling abnormality and the type of cooling abnormality based on the detected temperature. 2. The cooling abnormality detection device for a forced air-cooled electronic device according to claim 1, wherein the electronic component located upstream of the air flow is the electronic component 2 that generates the largest amount of heat. 3. The cooling abnormality detection device for a forced air-cooled electronic device according to claim 2, wherein the electronic component 2 that generates the largest amount of heat is installed at the most upstream side of the air flow. 4 The determining means determines whether or not the fan is in a stopped state based on the temperature detected by the upstream temperature sensor 3, and determines whether or not the air flow rate is reduced based on the difference between the temperatures detected by both temperature sensors 3 and 4. A cooling abnormality detection device in a forced air-cooled electronic device according to claim 1 of the above-mentioned utility model registration claim. 5. In the forced air-cooled electronic device according to claim 4 of the above utility model registration claim, wherein the determining means also determines whether or not there is a need to stop energizing based on the difference in temperature detected by both temperature sensors 3 and 4. Cooling abnormality detection device.
