ける筒内圧検出値に基づいて、筒内圧力変化の関
数近似又は各筒内圧検出値の大小の比較を行ない
筒内圧最大クランク角位置を判別する手段と、該
判別手段により筒内圧最大クランク角位置が進角
と判定されたときに前記上死点近傍の所定クラン
ク角位置の筒内圧検出値が所定値以下のとき失火
と判定する失火判定手段とを備えたことを特徴と
