The present invention relates to an oil-based ink for OHP film marking pens. Since OHP films, especially polypropylene films, have low-energy surfaces, conventional marking pens made of organic solvents, colorants, and resins cause streaks in the drawn lines, making it impossible to obtain clear lines. Generally, the surface of polypropylene film is surface-modified by chemical treatments such as corona discharge and flame treatment to improve wettability to ink, etc., but in many cases only one side of the film is treated. In the case of OHP film, both sides are sometimes used, and when using the side that has not been surface-treated, the drawn lines tend to bleed, making it impossible to obtain clear drawn lines. The object of the present invention is to provide an oil-based ink for marking pens that can draw clear lines even on OHP films, especially polypropylene films that have not been subjected to surface treatment. The present invention is characterized in that the composition components include at least a fluorine-based surfactant, rosin, and rosin alcohol (tetrahydroabiethyl alcohol) represented by the following general formula. Rosin alcohol (tetrahydroabiethyl alcohol) Here, the fluorine-based surfactant is used because
Adjust the surface tension of the ink to below the critical surface tension of polypropylene film (22 to 24 dyne/cm),
This is to prevent the ink from running on the film, and with conventional hydrocarbon surfactants, the surface tension of the ink can only be adjusted to about 25 dyne/cm.
not reach the goal. The fluorine-based surfactant is 0.05 to 0.5% by weight, preferably 0.1 to 0.3% by weight in the ink composition.
It is used in a range of % by weight. If the amount added is less than this, the surface tension of the ink will not reach the desired value, and the line quality will not be improved. If it is too large, the surface tension value of the ink will fall too much below the desired value, and the ink storage body will not be able to improve the surface tension. It cannot hold ink and causes fatal defects as a marking pen, such as ink blowing out. The reason why rosin alcohol is then added is to strengthen the adhesion of the ink that has been wetted onto the film surface by the surfactant. Rosin alcohol is used in the ink composition in an amount of 5 to 15% by weight, preferably 8 to 12% by weight. If the amount added is less than this, the adhesion of the ink to the film surface will be weak, and if it is too much, the drawn lines will become sticky due to the tackiness of the rosin alcohol itself. The reason for including rosin is that rosin alcohol alone has poor adhesion to the film. Next, as an example of the present invention, the following ingredients

[Table] was stirred and mixed to obtain a uniform oil-based ink for marking pens. In this case, first, the rosin, rosin alcohol, and fluorosurfactant were stirred and dissolved in the entire amount of the organic solvent, and then the coloring agent was added and thoroughly stirred and mixed. Next, the ink of the example of the present invention and the comparative example ink obtained by adjusting the following ingredients: basic dye 6 (parts by weight) natural rosin 10 benzyl alcohol 1 methylcellosolve 83 were used as fillers using the fiber core as the pen tip. Fill a writing instrument using polypropylene film (manufactured by Panatsuk Industries).
The state of the drawn lines was visually judged by writing on the untreated surface of OPP#90). As a result, the drawing condition of the comparative example ink on the polypropylene film was large, whereas the drawing condition of the inventive example ink was good. As described above, it is only by containing a fluorine-based surfactant, rosin, and rosin alcohol that it becomes possible to provide good lines on polypropylene film with a marking pen.
