Conventional rotating brush suction ports were designed primarily for cleaning carpets, and the goal was to maximize the dirt scraping effect of the rotating brush body. Therefore, there are various problems when cleaning bare floors and tatami surfaces with this rotating brush suction port.
It has the disadvantage that it does not produce satisfactory results compared to ordinary floor and tatami suction spouts, and this is one of the reasons why rotating brush suction mouths have not become popular in Japan, where the surfaces to be cleaned are diverse, such as floors, tatami mats, and carpets. It was hot. The main disadvantages are that the rotating brush body that rotates at high speed scratches the floor surface, and there is no means to effectively sweep the floor and tatami surface to collect dust.
The purpose was to blow away sand, garbage, etc.

されている。 The flexible plate 44 is a highly flexible tongue piece with a thin plate strip at the tip that is attached to the front side of the suction port 34, that is, the lowermost front surface of the mouthpiece body 1 so as to protrude downward, and is made of several solid pieces. are arranged at equal intervals with slight gaps 45 in between, and approximately the full width of the suction port 34.
This flexible plate 44 contacts the floor surface when the suction mouth main body 1 is placed on the floor surface, and allows airflow to flow from the front into the suction port 34 through the gap between the suction port front edge 46 and the floor surface. The flexibility serves to control the wind speed at the suction port 34. In other words, when the amount of air generated at the suction port 34 is large, it is greatly bent and lifted upward by the wind pressure, creating a gap G between it and the floor surface 158, ensuring the amount of air and reducing the wind speed, which is generated at the suction port. When the air volume is low, it does not bend much,
Either the gap G with the floor surface 158 is kept small, or the air is allowed to pass through only through the gap 45 in contact with the floor surface to increase the wind speed. Therefore, the suction force related to the wind speed is averaged both when the air volume is high and when the air volume is low, thereby preventing a decrease in the suction power, especially when the air volume is low. The flexible plates 44 are inserted into the front end corners 43 of the lower case 3 of the mouthpiece main body 1 so as to maintain gaps 45, and only their tips are inserted into the lower case 3 through a plurality of slits 47 corresponding to the number of flexible plates. It comes out from the bottom of the. and a plurality of flexible plates 44
is held at the same time by a holding plate fixed to the lower case 3 with screws. In addition, multiple gaps 45
The total width of the suction port 34 is set between 2% and 5% of the width of the suction port 34.

A brush operating lever 79 is formed integrally with the pedal portion 74 approximately at the center of the lower surface of the switching lever 69, and has a sliding elongated hole 80 at its tip. The sliding elongated hole has a width slightly larger than the diameter of the sliding shaft 67 of the floor brush body 57, and the sliding shaft 67 is fitted into this. By operating the pedal part 74, the sliding shaft 6
7 reciprocates in the sliding elongated hole 80. The lever spring 81 is a torsion coil spring, and one end has a substantially annular end 8.
2. The other end is an L-shaped end 83.
This substantially annular end portion 82 is fitted onto the outer periphery of the spring-loaded shaft 68 of the floor brush body having a retaining protrusion 84.
The tip of the L-shaped end 83 is inserted into the spring holding hole 77 in the lever shaft 71 of the switching lever.
The lever spring 81 connects the switching lever 69 and the floor brush body 5.
7, slide the arm 66 of the floor brush body through the elongated hole 8.
It generates an urging force that presses it downward. Both ends of the lever spring 81 are rotatable around the spring hanging shaft 68 and the spring holding hole 77, respectively. Since the floor brush body 57, the switching lever 69, and the lever spring 81 are configured in this way, first of all, as shown in FIGS.
As shown in the figure, the "yuka/tatami side" of the pedal section 74
When the brush actuating lever 79 is tilted down, the brush operating lever 79 is facing downward, and the arm 66 of the floor brush body 57, which fits into the sliding elongated hole 80 with its sliding shaft 67, is in a substantially horizontal state and is connected to the brush operating lever 79. The brush part 85 is held downward and the floor brush 86 planted in the brush part 85 is made to project downward from the lower surface of the mouthpiece body 1. When cleaning floors and tatami mats, this floor brush 86 comes into contact with the surface to be cleaned and sweeps it, collecting dust and scraping off stuck-on dust. Next, from the state shown in FIG. 5, when the "Jiyutan side" 76 of the pedal section is pushed down, the brush operating lever 79 rotates forward and upward about the center of the lever shafts 70 and 71. (Arrow S in Figure 6) Along with this, the sliding shaft 6
7 slides relatively upward in the sliding elongated hole 80 while compressing the openings at both ends against the biasing force of the lever spring 81, and the arm 66 connected thereto rotates upward around the shaft portion 61. do. (T arrow in Figure 6) As this arm rotates, the integrated brush part 8
5 rotates backward around shaft parts 60 and 61. Then, at approximately the midpoint of the switching operation of the pedal section from the "Yuka/Folding side" 75 to the "Jiyutan side" 76,
The sliding shaft 67 reaches the uppermost position in the sliding elongated hole 80 (imaginary line in FIG. 6), and as the brush operating lever 79 further rotates forward and upward, the sliding shaft 67 reaches the uppermost position in the sliding elongated hole 80.
Rotate the arm 66 further forward while moving back downwards. At this time, the lever spring 81 is in the direction of widening the opening at both ends, and acts to promote the movement of the sliding shaft 67 and the brush operating lever 79. In other words, at approximately the midpoint of switching the pedal section, the lever spring 81 crosses the dead center, and imparts adjustment to the switching of the pedal section 74. When the "Jiyutan side" 76 of the pedal section finally falls down, the state shown in FIG. 7 is reached, the sliding shaft 67 returns to the bottom of the sliding elongated hole 80, and the arm 66 stands upright. The continuous brush portions 85 are held in a position rotated slightly more than 90° rearward and laterally.

93中に固定されている。 Therefore, the floor brush 86 faces rearward, is stored in the floor brush storage section 59, and is pulled in from the lower surface of the suction body 1. Therefore, when cleaning a carpet, the floor brush 86 does not dig into the hair of the carpet, making the mouthpiece difficult to slip or increasing the operating force. In addition, since the side surface 87 of the brush portion 85 is approximately at the same height and on the same surface as the lower surface around the floor brush storage portion of the mouthpiece body 1, a large amount of carpet hair enters the floor brush storage portion 59, and substantially This also prevents the main body from sinking into the carpet and increasing the operating force. 88 is a reinforcing body that constitutes a part of the brush body. On the other hand, the switch lever 78 integrated with the lever shaft 70 of the switching lever 69 moves from FIG. 6 to FIG.
It rotates as shown in the figure, but when the pedal part in Figure 6 is tilted to the "yuka/tatami side", its tip 8
At 9, the actuator plate 91 of the micro switch 90 having a normally closed contact is pressed, and the switch button 92 is pressed to open the circuit of the motor 8 as shown in FIG. It stops rotating. When cleaning the floor or tatami mats, use the main brush 1 of the rotating brush body 13.

This is because the striking ridges 20 may damage the floor surface. The pedal part 74 is on the "Jiyutan side" 76
When it is down, the switch lever 78 has moved away from the actuator 91, so the switch button 92 has returned to its free position, the microswitch 90 has closed the circuit of the motor 8, and the motor 8 is rotating. , a rotating brush body 13 is driven, and a main brush 19, an auxiliary brush 27, and a beating protrusion 20 work to loosen and stir up dirt deep inside the hair of the carpet. Micro switch 90 is fixed in switch case 93.

The articulating projection 101 is provided on the end face of one of the rotating parts 94, and when the connecting pipe 5 rotates, the connecting pipe 5 is brought to the standing position (imaginary line in FIG. 4) while pushing the projection 103 of the articulating leaf spring 102. to overcome this and prevent the connecting pipe from falling. The rotation of the joint pipe 5 is such that when the joint pipe is in the upright position, the communication pipe 9 is connected to the front wall 105 of the joint mounting recess 104 of the mouthpiece body 1.
When the joint pipe 5 is in the lying position, the communication pipe 96 is regulated by the contact with the receiving part 105 forming the lower surface of the joint mounting recess 104. Stoppers 106 and 107 project from the left and right sides of the communication pipe 96, and contact steps 108 and 109 on the left and right walls of the joint mounting recess 104 to assist in regulating the downward rotation of the joint pipe. It is constructed of a hard bearing part 130 through which the axle 129 passes, and a soft outer peripheral part 131 fixed to the bearing part. This wheel cover 128 has a pair of notches 134 and 13 that are open on the lower surface side of the mouthpiece body.
5 is formed, and this notch is provided with a width that allows the axle to be fitted. Furthermore, a pair of elastic beams 136 and 137 are integrally molded on the lower case so as to face the side wall in which the notch of the wheel cover 128 is provided. This elastic beam extends in the same direction as the arrangement direction of the rotating brush body 13 and the floor brush body 57, that is, the front-back direction of the mouthpiece body, and one end constitutes a fixed end, and the dimensions of this elastic beam are as follows. As shown in FIG. 3, the length L is larger than the height H, and the height H is set larger than the depth h of the notches 134 and 135. Therefore, in the installed state in which the small wheel is inserted into the notch, both end surfaces of the axle 129 abut against the inner surfaces of the elastic beams.

Locking portions 138 and 139 are formed opposite to each other near the open ends of the cutout portions 134 and 135 of No. 28, and the locking portions have guide surfaces 138A and 139A that face the cutout portions and slope inward, Stepped portions 138B and 139B are provided to lock both ends of the axle 129 of the small wheel. To attach the small wheels 126, 127 to the lower case 3, the small wheels 126, 127 are first inserted from below along the notches 134, 135 provided in the side walls 132, 133 of the wheel cover 128. At this time, the length L of the axle 129 is located outside the wheel cover 128 and is smaller than the distance l between the pair of elastic beams 136 and 137 formed integrally with the lower case 3, so the locking portion 138 of the elastic beam ,1

Then, the dust is sucked into the connected vacuum cleaner through the elbow pipe part 97 of the connecting pipe 5 and the ordinary pipe 96 from the suction port 52, and can be captured. Here, when the surface to be cleaned is a carpet, the pedal portion 74 of the switching lever 69 is turned to the "clothing side" 76. At this time,
The switch lever 78 leaves the actuator 91 of the micro switch 90 and
The circuit of the electric motor 8 is closed and the electric motor 8 is operated,
The rotating brush body 13 is driven and rotated through a belt 17. And the striking ridges 20 of the main brush pair 14
The carpet bristles are beaten and loosened to lift out dirt between the bristles, and the main brush 19 and the auxiliary brush 27 stir up dirt between the bristles for effective cleaning.
At this time, the brush part 85 of the floor brush body 57 rotates backward in conjunction with the switching lever 69, and since the floor brush 86 is stored in the floor brush storage part 59, the floor brush 86 bites into the hair of the carpet and the suction This will not make the slide slippery or increase the operating force excessively. If the surface to be cleaned is a floor or tatami mat, press the pedal part 7 of the switching lever 69.
Defeat 75 on the "Yuka/Tatami side" in #4. At this time, the switch lever 78 pushes the actuator 91 of the microswitch, the microswitch 90 opens the circuit of the motor 8, and the motor 8 is stopped. Therefore, the rotating brush body 13 does not rotate, and dirt on the floor and tatami mats is cleaned only by the suction force of the airflow, and the main brush 19 and the auxiliary brush 27 of the rotating brush body 13 are cleaned.
However, the cleaning efficiency is not reduced by blowing away sand and dirt on the floor and tatami mats, and the main brush 19, beating ridges 20, auxiliary brush 27, etc. that rotate at high speed can be used to scrape the floor surface. It also prevents scratches. At this time, the brush part 85 of the floor brush body 57 rotates downward in conjunction with the switching lever 69, and the floor brush 86 protrudes downward from the floor brush storage part 59. Sweep the tatami surface gently to peel off dirt adhering to the surface and scrape out dirt hidden in depressions to increase the effectiveness of cleaning.

る。 An elastic beam having a locking part at the lower end is provided in the lower case on both sides of the floor brush body, facing the notch formed in both side walls of the box-shaped wheel cover, and the axle of the small wheel is inserted into the notch. The structure allows the axle to be attached to both ends of the axle while pushing open the locking parts of the elastic beams, making it easy to assemble the small wheel to the mouthpiece body with one touch, resulting in good workability and low production costs. It will be cheaper. In addition, since the elastic beam extends in the front-rear direction where both brushes are arranged and is fixed at one end, sufficient elastic force can be obtained even if the elastic beam is set below the stress limit of the lower case resin material, and it will not come off. This ensures stable operability over a long period of time. Furthermore, since the amount of bounce of the elastic beam, that is, the amount of expansion required to push the axle, can be set arbitrarily by changing the length of the elastic beam, the height of the elastic beam can be kept low and it can be used for belts, etc. Interference with other parts can be avoided and the lower case can be made more compact.
